S6-Chapter 66

Fernando’s POV

I spent the whole day worried about Melissa. It was so rare for her to get sick, so unusual for her to miss a day of work to stay in bed, that I thought of the worst possibilities. I bombarded my uncle with questions, since he was Melissa’s doctor, maybe he could tell me what to do, but he kept answering me with evasions and started avoiding me, which was strange.

When Hannah offered to go see Melissa at lunchtime, I was so relieved to be able to count on someone that I gave her the afternoon off, just so she could keep an eye on Melissa in case Catherine needed to leave. I went with her to the restaurant and bought lunch, the things Melissa liked, and sent some chocolates for her too. But the day dragged on and I was anxious to get home.
