Into the Unknown

Mila's POV

“Jayden?” I exclaimed. His name sounded a bit familiar, but I couldn't bring myself to remember where I had heard that name. I took a moment to think, but my mind remained blank.

“Aren't you coming?” Jayden said as he stood by the doorway staring at me. I nodded and walked past him.

I stepped on the front porch and raised my head to see a sleek black car. Where is he taking me? I asked myself.

A driver stood by the car door like he was waiting for me to enter. Are you thinking of changing your mind?” Jayden asked.

“No, but this feels sudden. I can't leave my brother here” I said, still hesitant to enter the car.

“Remember, you are doing this for him,” Jayden said, with a low and firm voice. I didn't want to listen to him, but he was telling the truth. Without saying another word I slid into the car.
