LOGINALEXANDER POV
I stared at her as she was taken away, and my heart sank. I didn’t understand why, but I felt a deep pain knowing she was being sent to a mental hospital. The very thought drove me to the brink of insanity. She was the mother of my newborns, and that made me weak. I wanted to protect her, to take her in my arms and comfort her, maybe even take her like I did nine months ago. “Fuck! You’re insane,” I cursed internally, fighting against my wolf. The damn wolf wouldn’t give me peace, not after Daniela was taken away. “You know you can’t shame your family. You can’t admit you had a one-night stand with an Omega. You can’t admit that, right?” I tried to convince Ronald, my wolf, but he kept on wiggling inside me, making it hard to concentrate. “She’s not our mate. Why are you fighting for her?” “I don’t know, but I feel she should be.” “Keep dreaming. We can’t have an Omega as our mate. That’s why we had to get rid of her after she gave birth.” I tried to reason with him, but my wolf wouldn’t listen. He kept fighting me, causing my eyes to change from dark to yellowish. As soon as she was taken out, I rushed upstairs to the room where my pups were. I needed to calm myself down. The only person who could calm my mind was Daniela and i had realised that in our one night stand, but now, she was gone for good. Surprisingly, she was the only one who made me feel alive that night at the club. That was the reason for our one-night stand. She was an Omega, but I didn’t understand why I was so drawn to her. It felt like a connection I couldn’t explain. After her, I never found the same satisfaction with another she-wolf. Walking into the room after leaving the guests in the living hall, I heard my pups crying and clenched my fists. Since Beta Lucas took them away from Daniela in the labour ward, they had been crying non-stop. One of them had a headache from all the crying. “Rose, why is she crying? Are you tired of your work?” I roared, and the Omega shook her head vigorously, trying to soothe the baby. “Bring her here,” I ordered, and she quickly complied. “What’s wrong, my love? Don’t cry, daddy is here.” I smiled at her small fingers as I played with them. I decided to name my baby girl Katherine after Laura’s mother, to appease Laura. Laura’s pack was vast and wealthy, while mine was struggling after what happened in my family. That’s why my mother chose Laura as my mate, hoping her pack would help ours grow. My phone rang, and I pulled it from my pocket. Katie quieted down, playing with her fingers while Nathaniel was with the other maid in the room. Seeing a private number on the caller ID, I frowned. “Rose, take her and prepare her anf her brother for the party. I need to take this.” The Omega rushed over, took Katie, and I left the room. “Brother.” I heard the voice on the other end and froze, my eyes widening in the hallway. “Alphonce!” I cleared my throat, trying to compose myself, but I was anything but calm. I rushed to the railings, leaning my left hand there while gripping the phone tightly with my right. “Are you surprised to hear from me?” “What do you want, Alphonce?” I hissed, flabbergasted and nervous. “Oh, stop it, brother. Have you already forgotten what mother and you did to me?” I exhaled deeply, raising my eyes to the ceiling. “Stay away from us, Alphonce. You said you didn’t want anything to do with us, remember?” “I said that, but I didn’t say I wouldn’t come back for revenge.” “Are you threatening me?” “I’m not. Just be careful, brother.” “Hello? Hello?” The call was cut off abruptly, just like the relationship I had with Alphonce. “Fuck it!” I paced back and forth, wondering what was on Alphonce’s mind, but I couldn’t figure it out. Why come after all these years? What was he planning? “My love.” I turned to see Laura strutting towards me. “Yes.” “I’ve made her disappear,” she said with a smile satified with her actions, raising her face for a kiss on the cheek. “We need to prepare for the party.” I nodded, faking a smile, then walked side by side with her into the room. I still needed to talk to my mother about the sudden call from Alphonce. ********* ALPHONCE POV I formed a sinister smile as I stared at the phone in my hand, then threw it back in my pocket. “Home sweet home,” I murmured, smiling at the sight before me. “Sir, everything is in order,” one of my men said, and I nodded. Who would have thought I’d get the chance to avenge my mate so soon? “Good, let’s go.” I rushed to the back door of the car, one of the men already opening it for me. I jumped in, leaning my head back on the seat. I still couldn’t believe I was back here, a place I vowed ten years ago never to return to. But could I be blamed for seeking revenge on those who wronged my mate and me? And who were they but my own biological family? Should I remove my glasses? No. Who knew what the paparazzi would do? Plus, I didn’t want to hear the obvious comments. “Is he the Alpha?” “Wow! But our Alpha doesn’t dress like that.” I smiled at those familiar comments and closed my eyes, adjusting my black suit as the driver accelerated. Time for vengeance!ALEXANDER’S POVI shifted back to human form my body aching from the fight. Sweat and blood coated my skin but none of it mattered. Gloria lay dead. Laura’s body slumped nearby. DANIELA’S POVI stood firm as Gloria crumpled against the wall blood trickling from her lips. Her chest rose in shallow gasps. Power still flickered weakly around her fingers. She whispered ancient words and summoned her remaining men. They poured into the chamber weapons raised faces twisted with loyalty.Alexander and Alphonse charged forward despite the danger. Alexander shifted fully into his massive wolf form muscles rippling with raw strength. Alphonse stayed in hybrid shape claws extended. They fought side by side cutting through the first wave of attackers.Gloria coughed and pointed at me. "Finish her. She is the threat."I summoned my hybrid power. Golden fire laced with silver sparks formed in my palms. I hurled balls of flame at the incoming men. Each strike hit true exploding against their chests and dropping them lifeless to the mud floor. The scent of charred flesh filled the air but I did not stop. My power surged stronger now fueled by the need to protect my family.A
DANIELA’S POVI backed toward the doorway with the gun steady in my grip. The twins peeked out with wide frightened eyes. Gloria rose slowly from the couch. Power crackled around her like living lightning. Shadows thickened into jagged spears that shot forward. I dove sideways shoving the children behind me. One spear grazed my arm. It burned like acid. Pain flared hot across my skin. "Dammit!" I didn't know how fast everything went but I could see. Gloria had decided to do this."S-so you want to do this?" A cold smile on my face.Gloria thrust her hands outward. Violet flames roared across the chamber, not daring to listen to even listen to me. The air filled with ozone and decay. Something deep inside me stirred. My hybrid blood ignited. Heat surged through my veins blending with raw wolf strength."Okay, lets do it then." I raised my hands. Golden fire laced with silver sparks exploded outward. It collided with her flames. The blast shook the walls and cracked the floor.Gloria l
DANIELA’S POVI stayed rooted on the edge of the couch, every muscle tight as a bowstring. The cushions felt too soft, too civilized for the rot I could still smell clinging to my boots. Gloria sat across from me like we were old friends catching up over tea, her back straight, hands folded neatly in her lap. The candlelight danced across her face, softening the sharp angles of her cheekbones but doing nothing to hide the steel in her eyes. Then she continued, "Packs in the forests, covens in the hidden glades. We traded knowledge. Shared rituals under the full moon. Balance." She paused, lips pressing into a thin line. "Then the wolves grew greedy."I didn’t interrupt. My hand hovered near my lower back, close enough to the hidden gun to feel its cold promise against my spine. The twins’ laughter drifted faintly from the next room, innocent and trusting. It twisted something deep in my chest."Every generation, the packs demanded tribute," Gloria continued. Her fingers tightened on h
DANIELA’S POV "You said I was part witch, right?" I panted, my hybrid form heaving with exhaustion."You saw what I did to save Alexander two days ago!"I pushed myself upright, chest rising and falling in ragged bursts. I waved my hands toward the ceiling, eyes squeezed shut, jaws clenched so tight my teeth ached. Power should have surged through me. Sparks. Flames. Anything. But the air stayed dead and heavy. Nothing stirred."It's not working!""Of course it cannot work." The voice sliced through the dimness. I spun toward it, yanking the gun from my back pocket in one fluid motion. Sweat stung my eyes as I leveled the barrel.Gloria stood there, solid and untouched, as if the hellhole around us had never worn her down."What do you want?" I demanded, finger steady on the trigger. She took one step."No. Do not move. Stay right there or I will shoot." My voice cracked with raw warning."Do not be harsh, dear." She waved my threat aside like smoke, her lips curving.I swallowed har

GIFT’S POV I didn’t waste time when she admitted tahat I wasn't here to preend about being her friend. Crossing one leg over the other, I leaned into the couch like I owned the entire place, and concentrated on her face which was disfigured, one of her eyes not even visible on that side, “So,”
ALEXANDER’S POVBACK TO PRESENTShock and relief crashed over me at the sight of Miss Gift. A part of me had been certain she wouldn’t come. But here she was, standing among the guests, her scent unmistakable even before I turned to look at her.I had promised myself that I would speak to her, but
DANIELA POV"Are you alright?" A tall, well-built, handsome man in a blue suit asked as he walked beside me. I nodded, allowing him to hold my hand and help me navigate the crowded airport terminal. We had just descended the long stairs of the plane, and his assistance was appreciated."Thank you,"
