I feel like it has been a million years since I last saw her. I'm seeing Sofia for the first time in more than a year and I wished the circumstances were different but it's not.

I gave her what she wanted, stayed away and went to college outside the country like I wanted even though my plans changed when I found her.

I had pictured seeing her again a million times in my head but I never expected it to be this way.

Her Grandfather just died and I knew I had to be here, if not for her, for me also because I also knew and loved him.

I drove with my sister and father to the funeral in Malibu.
