Saturday, 10th of February, 1996 – Narragansett, Rhode Island

The sun was almost set when the police officers started the interrogation session, first towards the visitors at the lobby. The police chief concluded that it had not been twenty four hours since the murder happened and so the visitors might be the suspect. There are five of them in total, the first three officers including the chief, and another two that joined them after, once they wanted to start the interrogation. There were more than twenty visitors there, and some were the family of the residents. No one could pass the front door and leave before being interrogated so they should be interrogated. Each officer interrogated one person at each time, asking some general question and even some more detailed questions towards some of them that answered it ambiguously.&n

It was just three hours away from Sunday when the police officers finally continued their interrogation, now towards the residents in the apartments. However, being such late in weekend, not all residents were there at that time. Considering that the murder was happened not more than 2 days ago – which is true – the chief of police decided to just continue the interrogation. If later on it was still unsolvable, a following interrogation with the rest of residents will be held. The interrogation with the residents turned out to be a lot quicker than the previous due to most of them had a strong alibi and showing no suspicious acts. Considering that John liberta and this young man from room 201 – which was Victor – were the biggest suspect at that time, police officers decided to interrogate them one by one to make sure they don’t miss any single thing, not like how they did it before to the visitors and other residents. The chief of police then inform the receptionist, Ms. Gardeer, to send for the resident of room 201 to the main lobby. The main lobby had been way more spacious than before since the visitors had went home and most residents were in their own room, so they decided to hold the interrogation there by the lobby. In less than three minutes later, the person who was asked by the chief to send for Mr. Liberta descended back to the lobby by herself, quickly approaching the officers who did not seem to realize her presence, “Officers, Mr. Liberta said he will be here real quick.” The chief nodded and with that Ms. Gardeer as well went back to her receptionist desk. The chief was still pretty busy discussing with the officers of his team whether who to suspect. It had been almost half a day for them and yet they had not found anything worth more suspects even though the case was not seem to be too complicated. The very next morning after John Liberta was arrested around six hours ago, Victor had woke up and was packing up his stuff to fly back to New York. He actually had went outside before and there he met Ms. Gardeer who was heading outside; going home perhaps, by the lobby. He recognized her since she was the one who sent for him for the interrogation last night. He approached her there and asked for an update about the murder. Therefore Ms. Gardeer informed that last night a resident from the third floor was arrested, although she did not know for sure or still just suspected. Narragansett, Rhode Island had always been the same since always. People making crowds at the beach. Some plays while some lays. The crowds wasn’t only at the beach but as well at the place nearby. Tourists, mostly locals, came for the beach mainly, and for so the restaurants, motels, and gift shops nearby are full of people especially at this time of the week. Friday. The week almost ended so people managed to take some rest from works they did or mostly forced to do during weekdays. Well, some still works at weekends but just generalize it this time cause it was the fact of what was happening here.
