Danielle’s family frequently borrowed money from a billionaire whose very name struck fear into anyone who heard it, Lord Lionel Rick. The Rick family had two sons, Lionel Rick and Carole Rick, born to the same father but different mothers. Mr. Rick favored the younger son of his second wife far more than the eldest son of his first wife. However, Carole had no interest in business, only in art, working as a freelance painter, so Lionel Rick was temporarily given control of the inheritance. His personality was heavily affected by his mother’s death and his father’s biased treatment.

The burden of the family weighed heavily on Lionel Rick’s shoulders. Danielle immediately snapped back to her senses. In her confusion, she had no choice but to admit that she was the only daughter of the Angelina family, the only way she could buy herself more time.

The car even trembled slightly with his movement. Danielle felt as if a massive rock was pressing down on her chest, making it hard to breathe.

She tried to calm him down, but she was not very good with words.

“No, no, I mean… I will earn money to repay you. But right now, my situation is very difficult, I hope you can give me more time.”

He suddenly glared at her. “How? From what I see, even if you were sold to brothels or had all your organs harvested, it still would not be enough to cover the interest your parents owe.”

From the other end came a familiar voice. Julia Quinn sat leisurely painting her nails in front of a mirror and said, “My sister may be over thirty, but she still has some beauty left. Do whatever you want with her, then sell her wherever you like.”
