“Julia Quinn… Why is it you? Why would you do this to me?”

Tino having a mistress was no great secret, because Danielle had suspected him for a long time. Every time he came home from work, he reeked of perfume, there were red lipstick stains on his collar, and even his messages were password-protected. She just never expected that the person who had been having an affair with her husband all this time would be Julia Quinn.

Tino immediately stepped forward to protect his lover, scolding Danielle for daring to hurt Julia Quinn. Once again, the one at fault was always her. The two of them leaned on each other, embraced, and cared for each other right in front of her… to be honest… they really did look well matched. Yet Danielle had not realized this sooner.

Julia Quinn continued to pretend to be sympathetic. “Don’t scold her, she has gone through so much pain one after another, she must have struggled a lot.”

“But Sister Danielle!” she added. “You and Tino have fallen out of love long ago. He and I truly love each other. We intended to tell you earlier, but we were afraid of hurting you so we didn’t dare say it. Please don’t be angry with me.”

“Afraid of hurting me?” Danielle looked straight into Julia Quinn’s eyes, and she immediately avoided her gaze. “My family raised you like our own daughter. Yet you betrayed me for him.”

“Sister Danielle, we truly came together with sincere feelings. I still want to see you as my sister. Can’t we bless each other?”

“Shut up! Stop pretending. Do you know how fake you look? You make me sick, you disgust me. I don’t care anymore about when the two of you started your affair. I only feel sorry for my parents, the ones who helped two ungrateful people like you with all their hearts. You don’t deserve it.”

Being cursed harshly, the pair of lovers immediately showed displeased expressions. It seemed they did not want to accept this accusation. They had always believed they were in the right.

After looking around and seeing no one nearby, Julia Quinn immediately tore off her mask.

She sighed and looked at Danielle with mock pity. “I stole your husband. What can you do to me? I’m about to enter the Frank family and will sleep on your bed. I’m even pregnant with his child. Something you could never do in the past ten years.”

“What?” Danielle did not expect Julia Quinn to hate her this much. Her tone was full of malice, as if she had been waiting for this day for a long time.

Danielle stared at her for a moment, went through countless emotions, then suddenly burst into laughter.

“You’re right, I’ve lost everything! But do you think you’ve won? You chose the wrong person. Tino doesn’t love anyone, he only loves himself. You traded your dignity and your future just to step into the Frank family as a daughter-in-law? Wake up! He will manipulate you and trap you in a suffocating cage with no escape. “Shut up! What the hell do you know?”

Julia Quinn felt a bit guilty and immediately rushed forward, pushing Danielle down a few steps. Danielle’s knees were scraped in a long streak, her back aching sharply. No one came to help her up. Looking at the diamond necklace Quinn was wearing, Danielle realized she had an identical one that went missing months ago. Tino was truly stingy, stealing her belongings to give to his lover. Something she had grown tired of, Julia Quinn treated as a treasure and believed she was cherished.

How interesting! Looking at her ex-husband’s expression, he must be very afraid of being exposed by Danielle. A while later, Danielle dragged her suitcase onto the main road, the taxi from earlier had disappeared. She strained her eyes looking for another car. At that moment, a large hand suddenly grabbed her. It was him, the despicable, unfaithful husband. How dare he still appear in front of her. Danielle instinctively pushed him away, or she would have vomited right there.

“I heard you have nowhere to go. You’re out of money, right? For the sake of you serving my family for many years… I’ll give you some loose change as charity. Hurry up and kneel down and beg me!”

Tino found the black car very familiar, there were only two like it in the entire city. He did not leave immediately, but stayed to confirm Danielle’s lie.

Across the street, in front of a luxury fashion store, it seemed the owner of that car was waiting for the outfit he had ordered. The door was not closed, Danielle got in on her own. She knew this action was wrong, but she had no other choice. After all, she had already sat in someone else’s car, there was no turning back, the next step was to beg them not to throw her out. She only asked to sit for a few minutes. Her ex-husband had not left yet. He was definitely waiting for the moment she would be kicked out.

“Who are you?” Under the bright golden light of summer shining through the glass, the man sitting beside her suddenly lowered his newspaper, he looked very irritated.
