(Claire's pov)

I pulled into the parking lot, I stared at Jonathan's car that was parked in the parking lot. Mia's words keep playing in my mind.

I picked up my handbag and headed to the elevator, pressing the buttons, the door slid open and I stepped in.

My eyes fixated on the buttons going up till it eventually ended on my apartment floor. I stepped out as the elevator door opened.

Stepping into the apartment, my eyes stare at Jonathan's laptop and documents spread on the dining table. I scanned around he was nowhere to be found.

I went upstairs to my room, undressed, and stepped into the bathroom. As the hot water cascaded down my body, I felt a warmness and calmness fill me.

I couldn't believe Mia would suggest satisfying my urge by sleeping with Jonathan. I am trying so hard to get over the previous sex.

I sighed, but he did make me want more. The way he made me feel alive and desired. It was intoxicating.
