Chapter 33

I woke up early in the morning only to stare at the ceiling for a minute or two. I gasped as reality was starting to soak me. I looked at Ezra beside me who was peacefully sleeping. I thinned my lips, staring at his gentle face. I wanted to caress it but my hand froze as it hesitated.

I puffed a breath and carefully went out of being. I wore my clothes and quietly fix myself. It was time to go back to the hotel. I still haven't done fixing my luggage; the boat would sail early based on Quinn.

I looked at the window. It was still dark outside but the island lights were enough to see the gloomy surrounding. I looked at Ezra who was still sleeping. I couldn't stop my chest from tightening.

"I'm sorry," I whispered.

I learned to appreciate his face closer. I caressed my hand on his soft cheek as my eyes glistened in sadness. "You make me the happiest, Ezra. But happiness doesn't always last in life, doesn't it?" I puffed a breath. "You will be forever in my heart, my Ez."
