Victor’s POV

As I walked into the club, I swiftly scanned the VIP area in search of Anthony. Out of nowhere, a nearly naked woman charged at me, her intentions unmistakable. Filled with irritation, I pushed her aside.

"Why do young women throw themselves at men when they could be earning their own money through hard work?" I glared at her as she wobbled to regain her balance, confusion and shock evident on her face.

Those who witnessed the incident whispered among themselves, but I didn't care about their opinions. Most of the girls already recognize me when I come to the club, so they maintain their lane around me. I enjoy my own company while sipping on my non-alcoholic wine.

I spotted Anthony with two ladies, drinking and gisting and hurried over, hoping they hadn’t noticed my earlier encounter with the other woman, as that would surely be the talk of the day for Anthony.

“Dude, you showed up late,” Anthony said as soon as I arrived, obviously he didn't notice the encounter. I pulled out the available seat next to a curvy, attractive young woman with shiny black short hair.

I greeted the two ladies there, and the one next to me responded by twisting her body in a flirtatious manner.

“What’s up, Anthony?” I asked, raising my voice so he could hear over the loud music.

“Yes, this is Mia and this is Sarah,” Anthony introduced the ladies to me. I shook hands with both of them, but Mia's gaze was really irritating.

“Victor, Sarah is my girl,” he stated, giving me a look that said not to ask any more questions. Anthony is always seen with different women, I just don’t get how he manages to be so at ease with that.

“I told Mia about your situation, and she’s willing to help,” Anthony said again, and fortunately, the music had been lowered, so we didn’t have to shout to communicate.

I glanced at Mia, who gave me a seductive smile that made me uncomfortable. She tried to run her hand down my chest like some kind of prostitute, but I quickly moved away from her.

“I hope you explained the rules to her,” I asked Anthony, noticing his expression change.

“Waiting for you to say it yourself,” he replied, sipping his alcoholic wine, while the lady looked puzzled, obviously Anthony didn't give any better explanation to her.

“The role is just for you to act like my wife in front of my father. We’ll have a court marriage so I can back it up with a marriage certificate,” I explained, and the lady nodded, looking somewhat confused.

“And also, there won’t be any intimacy. You can stay at my house, but in a different room. We’ll live like neighbors inside and like a couple in front of my father,” I continued, trying to sound serious.

The ladies looked at me in shock, and then they both burst out laughing, which only irritated me more.

Why the hell are they laughing?

“You mean I’ll be living with a cute guy like you and there won’t be any strings attached?” Mia asked, and I nodded with a stern expression.

She doesn’t even seem like someone I could live with, she’d definitely want to mess around one day. I wouldn’t be able to control her like I can with Grace.

“Are you impotent or something?” she said again, laughing mockingly.

I was irritated by that comment. When did keeping yourself or abstaining from sex mean you’re impotent?

It frustrated me even more when the two ladies exchanged glances, looked down at my lower half like they were peering into my pants, and laughed.

When I couldn't take that any longer, I angrily stood up and stormed away from them. I can’t deal with a woman who can’t live without sex. I need a modest woman, not one I can’t trust not to bring other men into my house.

As I stormed away, ignoring Anthony’s calls, I bumped into the same lady who had been flirting with me earlier. This time, she was holding a glass of wine, and it spilled all over my white shirt.

What the hell is wrong with this girl again? Is this some kind of revenge or what?

She apologized and tried to help me clean the stain. As she rubbed her handkerchief on my shirt, our eyes locked onto each other.

Should I go for her then, Will she be willing to be my contracted wife?

Our eyes remained locked for a few seconds as she smiled while continuing to rub the handkerchief on my shirt.

I wasn't really enjoying the moment, I was just trying to figure out how to talk to her without her calling me impotent like the other ladies.

"We could go lodge in a room, you know," she said, sliding her hand to my waist in an attempt to pull me closer.

I pushed her away for the second time. Can these ladies just think straight for once? Do they always have to want to sleep with every man?

At that moment, I knew I wouldn't definitely find a modest girl in a club.

“What’s wrong with this ugly-looking thing?” the girl said as she stumbled to her feet, but I ignored her and walked out of the club.

It’s not her fault, I was the one looking for a modest wife in a club.

At that moment, I realized the best thing for me to do was to pursue Grace more. She’s the better choice. She's calm and I can easily control her to do what I want.

“I’m her boss, so I’ll have to make her comply. I know she wouldn’t want to risk losing her job,” I thought as I instructed my driver to start the car while I considered how to draft the contract to present to her for signing the next day.

“I will make her my contracted wife by force” I said slightly above whisper to myself as I let out a deep sigh.

My headache vanished and got replaced by anger toward my husband and deep sympathy for Benjamin. “Please, forgive me,” Victor’s voice trembled with emotion. “I already did,” Benjamin whispered, his body shaking with each sob as he fell into Victor’s open arms, the sound of his cries echoing through the room. After a moment, Benjamin raised his head from Victor’s shoulder, his eyes red and puffy. Jade moved closer to him and gently cleaned his face with a tissue. “What do you want me to do for you? “Kimberly!” Victor's voice boomed as the strange woman approached us. I shot him a questioning gaze, my brow pulled together in confusion. “This is the woman I was telling you about. Do you know her?” Victor’s expression darkened as he reluctantly nodded in response. His fist clenched, ready to strike the woman’s face, but Jack's quick intervention stopped him. I struggled to sit up in bed, ignoring my throbbing head, my gaze fixed on them as their drama unfolded. “What did I do to you? Why would you threaten my grandchildren’s lives?” Victor’s voice rose, his anger palpable. Kimberly's eyes brimmed with tears as she sank to her knees, “I'm sorry,” she whispered, her lips trembling.“Victor, who is she?” I asked.“She's the woman who I did IVF with but ended up giving me another man's child,” Victor's voice was laced with frustration and betrayal. It now made sense to me and the children. Victor had a past with her, which explained why she was targeting the family. Kimberly han

Grace's POVMy eyelids felt heavy as I tried opening them, like I’d shut it tight for a long time. I felt a sharp pain in my head as I tried to lift my head off the pillow, forcing me to lie back. My nose felt heavy, weighed down, so I slowly lifted my hand to touch it. The oxygen mask made me realize I was in the hospital. “Hospital, but how?” My head throbbed more as I tried to remember what had happened. I still couldn't open my eyes well, but I sensed someone was beside me. As I tried to speak, I felt a needle prick in my hand and I drifted off again. When I finally got to open my eyes again, hours or maybe days later, the oxygen mask had been removed and the hospital smell was unmistakable. “Why am I here?” I whispered, glancing around the room. It was a private room so I had no one in there to answer my question. I shut my eyes back if that could help me remember anything. Then, the hurtful memories started flooding back. Jack….. Baby Maya…..Dr. Williams….. The police offic

They then headed straight to the hospital to arrest Dr. Augustine Williams. Dr. Williams’s eyes widened in alarm as the detectives burst into his office. Fear gripped him upon seeing Mr. Oliver, standing beside them in a handcuff. Jack was also behind them, his face twisted in a deep frown. “Dr. Williams, you're under arrest for stealing Mr. Mason's child,” the detective’s voice sent his body into tense and it started to shake. A hard knot hooked in his throat, making it hard for him to utter words as he just stood rigid, staring at the detective in horror. “Please turn around and put your hands behind your back,” Dr. Williams complied, turning around slowly, his hands trembling as the detective handcuffed him. “Em….” He was about to say but the detective swiftly cut him off. “Anything you say will be used against you in the cour

“Jack…” Daisy called, her mouth agape in astonishment. “Why will you say that, babe?” Isabella sighed, obviously drained to the bone. Jack's face remained stern, his nostrils flared in anger. “Mrs. Morris, explain why a desperate man will steal my child if not that he knew he’d be paid for it.”“Jack stop!” Isabella yelled, her frustration boiling over. “You couldn't help me find my baby, so don't frustrate someone trying to help me.” “Think about…” Isabella’s teeth clenched, her finger raised in a warning gesture. Jack, sensing her anger, swallowed his words and remained silent, but deep down, he wasn't pleased with how the situation was being handled. He believed he would have fastened the process if he'd done it on his own. “We're sorry, Mrs. Morris,” Daisy's palms rubbed together in apology, her eyes pleading for forgiveness. “No need to apologize,” Mrs. Morris replied in a low tone, managing a smile. “Mr. Jack, you should know I'm just as confused as you're.
