Chapter 34: The Cobra King and the General

King Iry-Hor stared into the night, contemplating on his life as a king and about his nation and his dream. He was outside the temple, standing by the garden’s pool. Should he go back to his own palace? He then wondered what happened to Meru and the witch priestess. He received no reports until now. He walked back inside the temple, sat on his throne and summoned a servant.

“See if Meru sent a message. If he did not, send someone to where he is now together with Priestess Nehes and give me news!”

“Yes, my king. It shall be done.”

The king dismissed the servant, and the latter immediately exited from the presence of the king.
