Our conversation in the art gallery was playing on a loop in my mind and I stopped the car abruptly when the realization hit me like a ton of bricks.
Shit! What did I just do? I left muffin. Why? Just because of some stupid reason. I hurt her. I had to protect her but here I am doing what she had gone through all her life.
I promised her that I will never leave her side. She was already insecure and after making her believe that I never abandon her I did the same.
The realization hit me like a clap of thunder and I turned my car back to go to my muffin.
