Gwyneth's POV

A few minutes later, we're in his car and he's driving like a mad man, he's making me nervous as hell.

"Take me back to the resto this instant! I'm not happy with what you have done back there. Now take me back so I could atleast apologize in your stead." I am restraining myself not to rebuke him even more.

He didn't seem unfazed at all instead he is more focused on finding a parking spot in the front lawn of an enormous house or more like a mansion.

From here, I could clearly see the whole party design at the entrance gate. Party music blasting like there's no tommorow and I could say that everybody is having fun in there, dancing and grinding each other's body like a wild animal.

"Sean is going to be mad at me if I didn't make it in there." I insisted.

He unbuckled his seatbelt before turning sideways. "Come on, the party started earlier than I thought." He's not even paying attention to my constant pleading.

He got out of the car before I do, leaving me frowning inside. I stared at the windshield, eyebrows squinting and my teeth gnashing in too much anger.

"Don't make me wait for too long and get out of the car, Gwyn." He barked an order when he opened the car door for me. Chivalry is dead. Well, chivalry only exist in books and novel, not in real life anymore.

He leaned down unbuckling my seatbelt and grab my hand before pulling me out of the car. He then slammed the door shut.

"I don't want to be your contract girlfriend anymore. I'm breaching our contract." I stated firmly.

He looked at me smugly, so I unclasp his grip on my wrist swaggering away from him.

"There is  no way you could get away from here." He suddenly said making me stopped from walking. "You will only get lost when you try to go to the main exit of this villa. Besides, it's already late and we don't really know what might happen to you along the way. I don't wanna be haunted in my sleep so if I were you, I will set aside my ego." He added coarsely.

"If isn't for your absurd ass, I won't be here in the first place tch."

I removed the stiletto I was wearing before starting to walk again, barefoot. I don't care what might happen to me on the road, I just want to get away from that douchebag.

"Hey!" I heard him yelled.

I increased my pace, carrying my stiletto on my left hand. The road  is well-cemented so I don't have to worry about the sole of my feet getting hurt and wounded .

"Stop right there right now!"

"Don't tell me what to do!" I yelled back.

I've finally made up my mind. I will breach the contract that binds the two of us. He ruined my dinner date with Sean and his parents and brought me here—

"YAH!" I yelp in surprise when someone grab my wrist. "Let go of me, Kalex!" Hitting his hand with the stiletto I'm currently holding.

"Make me, baby." he retorted annoyingly.

I continue beating him with my stiletto while he's dragging me into the doorway of the house. "I said, let me go!"

We're attracting the crowd now but the douchebag won't just budge.

"Stop beating me or else...." he paused in a moment as he stared on my lips, making me feel uneasy.

"O-Or else what?" I stuttered.

He didn't bother to answer me and move his gaze away then continue dragging me until we reached the pool area where bunches of teenagers we're busy enjoying themselves, most of them are my schoolmates. They swayed their hips to the deafening music moving along with the beat.

"Happy birthday, bud." We're approaching the man near the pool bar. He was wearing a white polo shirt, holding a glass of wine in his right hand. "How's your party? Aren't you happy to see me?" Spreading his arms for a manly hug.

"It's better now that you're finally here." Denver responded warmly. "Thanks for coming too, Gwyn." Offering me a smile.

I just nodded my head, too worn-out to talk. The entire ambiance is not my thing. I mean, I've been to parties before but not like this.

"GWYNETH!"

I was alarmed when someone suddenly hugged me from behind. When I turned around to see who it was, it's none other than Zaina Fortaleza, my clamorous friend. She was wearing a black lacy bikini, just like most the women here.

"I thought you are not coming tonight?" She immediately inquired when she detached herself from the hug.

"She is with me." Kalex groaned and I just rolled my eyes at him.

Zaina nudge me on my side before whispering in my ears. "Why are you with him, huh?"

She waited for me to answer her query when her eyes flashed  with something like a realization. "D-Don't tell me — Oh my god! Is he your client?"

He's not my client anymore because I already put an end to our contract earlier. Besides, I'm a 'one word is enough person'. Once I said it, there's no other way to take it back.

"I'm her boyfriend." Kalex beat me to it, hugging me sideways.

I saw Denver choke out what he was drinking. "You gotta be kidding, man." He seemed unhappy of what he just heard considering the frown on his face.

"Ah, contract boyfriend is what you're trying to say. Is that it?" Zaina groaned.

Kalex's gripped on me tightened making me pinch his stomach, but the lunatic man did not even flinch. Is he made of stone or what?

"She just ended our contract, so basically I am her boyfriend for real now." He proudly replied before turning to look at me. "Right, baby?"

"You're crazy." I hissed.

He laugh a little and lightly  pinched my cheek  "Yeah, crazy for you, baby."

I warningly slapped his hand off my face and with all my force, I shrug off his arms from me. He's insane ugh!

"It's my first time seeing you this romantic dude. I didn't know that you are this cheesy." Denver throw his head back, laughing like a madman. "Anyways, Allaine has been waiting for you for a while now. Let me take care of your 'contract girlfriend' while you get your business done." He really emphasized the word 'contract girlfriend'.

Kalex smirked before answering. "We just broke up, dude."

"I didn't say I would agree to what you wanted to happen." The bitch I encountered earlier suddenly made an appearance behind us.

She's walking seductively towards Kalex's side and without hesitation, she gently caress Kalex's face.

"Stop it, Allaine!" Kalex shouted and quickly dodge his ex- lover's hand.

"Why would I? I will never stop until you find a better woman for yourself. I just can't accept the fact that you replace me with some smutty woman." She said meanly, looking at me from head to toe.

"Woah, coming from you?" I retaliated.

She stepped closer to me and when she couldn't control herself, she screamed at me in annoyance. "How dare you!" She was about to grab my hair when Denver stop her.

"One wrong move, and I'll call the security to drag you outta here." Denver threatened her. She's a warfreak bitch who can't control her own self.

When I saw the expression on Denver's face,  it's as if he was a Knight and shining armor or something like a leading man I've seen in the movies. But of course it's just my imagination. There's no such thing here in the real world.

"What? Are you serious about what you just said? You sided that woman over me? God! You're unbelievable." I almost laughed at Allaine's reaction when she looked at Denver. Her face contorted pretty bad.

"Hold back yourself if you want to stay here until the end of the party." Denver's eyes were serious as if it was not in his vocabulary to play with Allaine's plot.

"Fine! I'll leave!" Allaine shouted then glared at me. "We're not yet done, bitch, keep that in mind. I'll get back to you, just wait for it." She angrily walked passed us .

"Okay, I'll wait for you." I retorted to irritate her even more.

She's pesky as hell. But mocking her is one of my habit now. I don't know, but her reactions are so priceless.

"Oh c'mon. Are you really looking for a fight? "Kalex lectured, poking my creased forehead.

Okay Kalex the grouch. He's no fun at all. Tch.

Gwyneth’s POVI woke up with the clamorous knocking on my door. I looked at my clock; it's already 11 in the evening. Who would bother to visit me at this time? I don’t even know why I was on my out to see me at this hour when in fact I still had to sleep because my flight will be early tomorrow at five in the morning. I was still yawning while rubbing my eyes as I walk to the door."Gwyn! Gwyneth! Are you there?!" My yawning stopped and my eyes widened when I heard Kalex's loud voice. I immediately ran towards the door thinking that something might have happened to Jase."Kalex?" he was sweating and gasping as he put his hands on his knees to support himself. He's wearing his usual sleeping clothes, his jersey short and a white cotton shirt. "What are you doing here? Why are you gasping?""I ... took ... the ... stairs." He said as his chest is heaving from the gasps. It took me a second

Kalex’s POV"What's up?" Demitri asked as he sits in front of me. I asked him if he could come because I needed someone to talk to. I need someone who could knock some sense out of me. "Where's Jase?""Upstairs. Sleeping." I replied before I took a sip from the glass of whiskey in my hand. I know he's waiting for me to start talking but I fucking don't know where to fucking start."It's about Gwyneth, isn't it?" He asked when I didn't say anything. My chest tightened by the mere sound of her name. I miss her. I miss calling out her name and how she smiles at me in the morning."She's ... she's leaving tomorrow." I said in a low voice as I remember what she said five days ago. I don't even know how long she'll be gone. I was afraid to ask.My mind went crazy by just the thought of her leaving with that fucker and all I ever said to her was that she doesn't need to worry ...

Kalex’s POV"Mommy you're going with us tomorrow, right?" Jase asked Gwyn again as he draws on his book. I peeked at my son's ipad to see Gwyn's face. She's as beautiful as ever."Yes baby, how many times have you asked me that already? You silly kid!" I can't help but to chuckle as I chop the vegetables for our dinner. Jase quickly glanced at me and grinned."I'm just reminding you mommy in case you forget." I shook my head. Jase just reminded Gwyn for the third time in fifteen minutes since they started talking. He was actually referring to her school activity. Since it's family day, parents are requested to attend the said event with their child at school. Jase has been talking about it since he learned that Gwyn and I are both going. I refuse to be absent on his first family day. They talked for an hour. I love hearing their voice and their funny conversations, especial
