Chapter Twenty Five

Gwyneth's POV

"You really don't have an intention to defend yourself in front of those buttheads earlier?" I frowned at him, breaking the eerie silence between us. We've been silent for half an hour already and it's honestly irking the hell outta me. We're just peacefully watching the scenic view of the park while sitting on a bench, listening to the mellow chirping of the birds.

After I've ruined the gathering an hour ago, we spotted this park not far from the restaurant. Upon sending his gloomy mood, I decided to bring him here to finally ask him what's bugging on my mind.

"I'm used to it." he simply answered and just shrugged his shoulder as if it's nothing.

"What do you mean?"

He's used to it? So, does it mean that they have been throwing offensive words towards him for a long time? Why didn't he even fight back when he's known to be hubristic on our campus? Is he feigning to be lethal all this time to save his reputation? That he's actually too coward and can't afford to fortify
