Gwyneth's POV

I groaned as I woke up when I felt my head throbbing in pain. This is must be the hangover after getting intoxicated last night. I landed my gaze at bedside table and see that it's already eight in the morning.

I checked under the blanket and automatically frowned when I saw what I am wearing. A pajama? Seriously? I can't remember when was last night the time I change my clothes. Ugh! I can't remember anything. What just happened? I just tugged my hair, thinking how did I able to got home safe despite being drunk. How? I mean, did I drove? Or did someone drove me home?

My forehead creased even more when I suddenly smelled something, and I am sure it was from my kitchen. I stood, but still can't get enough thinking of many how's and why's. Did I just brought some random guy last night? I can't remember even just a single thing and that's what makes me even more annoyed.

"Hey?"

Gwyneth’s POV"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Local time is ten past three in the afternoon and the temperature is 25 degrees Celsius ..."I can't help but to feel all the excitement as the crew announced that our plane landed. I've been peeking out the window for a while now because I really want to set foot in the Philippines again. It has only been six months, but it feels like forever since the day I've been here. I was excited to see Jase and Kalex. We video called almost every night and they also went to see me at Christmas. They stayed there for the whole holidays but it's not enough to compensate my longing for the two.The hard battle of homesickness!"Have a nice stay ma’am!" one of the crew greeted me before I went down on the plane. I gave her a smile. When I got off the plane, I went straight to a bus that the staff p

Gwyneth’s POVI woke up with the clamorous knocking on my door. I looked at my clock; it's already 11 in the evening. Who would bother to visit me at this time? I don’t even know why I was on my out to see me at this hour when in fact I still had to sleep because my flight will be early tomorrow at five in the morning. I was still yawning while rubbing my eyes as I walk to the door."Gwyn! Gwyneth! Are you there?!" My yawning stopped and my eyes widened when I heard Kalex's loud voice. I immediately ran towards the door thinking that something might have happened to Jase."Kalex?" he was sweating and gasping as he put his hands on his knees to support himself. He's wearing his usual sleeping clothes, his jersey short and a white cotton shirt. "What are you doing here? Why are you gasping?""I ... took ... the ... stairs." He said as his chest is heaving from the gasps. It took me a second

Kalex’s POV"What's up?" Demitri asked as he sits in front of me. I asked him if he could come because I needed someone to talk to. I need someone who could knock some sense out of me. "Where's Jase?""Upstairs. Sleeping." I replied before I took a sip from the glass of whiskey in my hand. I know he's waiting for me to start talking but I fucking don't know where to fucking start."It's about Gwyneth, isn't it?" He asked when I didn't say anything. My chest tightened by the mere sound of her name. I miss her. I miss calling out her name and how she smiles at me in the morning."She's ... she's leaving tomorrow." I said in a low voice as I remember what she said five days ago. I don't even know how long she'll be gone. I was afraid to ask.My mind went crazy by just the thought of her leaving with that fucker and all I ever said to her was that she doesn't need to worry ...

Kalex’s POV"Mommy you're going with us tomorrow, right?" Jase asked Gwyn again as he draws on his book. I peeked at my son's ipad to see Gwyn's face. She's as beautiful as ever."Yes baby, how many times have you asked me that already? You silly kid!" I can't help but to chuckle as I chop the vegetables for our dinner. Jase quickly glanced at me and grinned."I'm just reminding you mommy in case you forget." I shook my head. Jase just reminded Gwyn for the third time in fifteen minutes since they started talking. He was actually referring to her school activity. Since it's family day, parents are requested to attend the said event with their child at school. Jase has been talking about it since he learned that Gwyn and I are both going. I refuse to be absent on his first family day. They talked for an hour. I love hearing their voice and their funny conversations, especial

Gwyneth’s POV"Why are you so quiet?" Quir asked me as we ride the elevator. I was on my way down earlier when I ran into him and he asked me to have lunch with him."Jase is with Kalex now and I don't have anything to do because I've already made all the proposals for my next event. I just need to submit." I sighed. This has always been my problem ever since Kalex and I had an agreement. When Jase isn't by my side I can't do anything so I usually just read a book until I fall asleep. Everything's just boring whenever Jase's not at home.Quir and I decided to eat outside the company. Sometimes the food is also boring because the menu is almost always the same."So I was thinking, how about we go out tonight?" He asked as we eat at one of our favorite place near the hotel. It's delicious here in case there's majesty so we only eat here when new wages.

Gwyneth’s POV"Excellent job, Gwyn." I beamed at as he opened his arms and I ran towards him to hug him. He picked me up and turned me around."I did it!" I shouted at him and we were both laughing. "The senator loved the theme for the party ... he loved everything."They even popped a confetti for me. One of our officemates opened a bottle of wine to celebrate and gave me one. "Cheers to Gwyneth!"After months of preparing one of the biggest events of the year, I'm just so glad I finished the job. Who would have thought that I would host a politician's birthday party?I've been the event manager of big business men in the country but the aura is still different when your clients are influential in the Philippines. I met the president, the vice president, and even celebrities last night! That’s how big was the event that I organized and I'm happy to see the proud look
