“Damn, Ki. You were fantastic. See? You were made for this. You took each situation and offered your promise to them.”

Luca cleared his throat. “Well, that was awkward,” he sing-songed.

Kenzie was the one that growled this time. “You’re a cockblocker,” she snapped.

“Tell me how you really feel, sis.” Luca crossed his arms and smirked, completely unaffected by her irritation.

She glared at him for a few more moments before she laughed. Goddess, I loved the sound of her laughter. It always brought a smile to my face.

“You’re a dork,” she said, flipping her hair over her shoulder. “We’re heading back to the castle really quick. Want to come?”
