In a world where only male Alphas can lead, Isabel refuses to accept fate’s decree. Born the illegitimate daughter of Alpha Roy and an outcast, she has lived in the shadows, hiding from a pack that never wanted her. But when she was five, her world shattered—she watched her mother executed at the command of Luna Freya, her father’s wife. Vowing revenge, Isabel spends years training in secrecy, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. That moment arrives when the kingdom announces its most dangerous challenge yet: the Alpha Trials. Whoever wins will take the throne of the Silver Pack. But there’s a catch—only men can compete. Determined to claim what was denied to her, Isabel disguises herself as Bernard, a fierce and cunning warrior, and enters Silver High, the brutal training ground for future Alphas. There, she meets Weston, Killian, and Roan. None of them realize they are up against their fated mate. As Isabel battles through deadly trials, dangerous rivalries, and her growing attraction to the very men she must defeat, her true identity becomes harder to hide. Will she claim the Alpha title and avenge her mother, or will fate weave a destiny she never expected?

"Alexandria, I hereby sentence you to death by beheading..." It was the worst night of my life. I stood in the shadows, my eyes wide open, and the fear that I was feeling inside me was enough to make me scream. So I cupped my mouth with one palm and tried to keep it shut. The guards dragged my mother and dropped her at the feet of the man I knew as my father, and his wife. His name was Alpha Roy, and she was called Luna Freya. She had always hated my mother and I, for some reason that I couldn't figure out. Maybe it was because of jealousy.. Maybe it was something else. "My lord, give your order and let the guards take this filthy woman away from my presence," said Freya, as if the mere sight of my mother irritated her. What order was she talking about? My mother had certainly done nothing wrong to deserve what she was getting. "What is this, my lord?" my mother asked, as she raised her head to look at both of them. "Tell me something, Alexandria," Alpha Roy said, as he leaned forward a bit. "How many sexual partners have you had in the past few months?" My mother was silent for a minute there. Then she answered, "Sexual partners?" "You heard me!" Alpha Roy snapped, making her flinch. I even felt myself jump at his outburst. The man called Alpha Roy was my father, but he never really showed much love towards my mother and I. I was his child, but that happened when mom had a one night stand with him. So she wasn't fit to be called his Luna. Instead, Freya took over that very position. Since then, we have lived apart from him. And my mother had raised me, not to hate Alpha Roy, but to understand that men of his status always did things like that. "I haven't had any man, my lord. No one apart from you," my mother finally said. "Are you really sure about that?" Alpha Roy asked. He didn't seem to believe what she was telling him. "Yes, my lord." "Do you know what the consequences of lying to me are?" Alpha Roy asked, and I didn't like his tone. It sounded as if he really didn't believe my mother and was already convinced that she was telling him a lie. "Of course, my lord. Why would I lie to you? I have never slept with another man apart from you, my lord. No one else!" I believed my mother. I knew that she was telling the truth. At that point, Luna Freya whispered something into my father's ear. I couldn't hear what it was that she said to him but when he looked at my mother again, his face was firm. "Alexandria, I have found you guilty and hereby sentence you to death by beheading!" "Guilty of what? What crime have I committed?" "The crime of adultery!" Alpha Roy said. "I have already told you that I haven't had any other man since you, Roy!" my mother said, and her voice was breaking in tears. "But it is a lie, isn't it?" My mother threw herself at his feet and her body shook with sobs. I couldn't even hold myself anymore. I ran out from my hiding place and went straight to where she was. "Mom!" I cried out. I got her attention and she caught and held me close as we made contact. I didn't really understand what was happening. I was only seven years old at the time. "Mom, what is happening? Why is father angry?" My mother was crying so much that the only thing I heard her say was, "Be strong, Hae." "Get her out of my sight!" "No! Leave her alone!" I shouted at the guards. But they just shoved me aside as if I weighed nothing. The guards dragged my mother out of the Silver Pack hall. I knelt before my father and Freya. "Please, don't hurt my mom." But they both looked at me as if I didn't even matter. Soon, they both stood up, holding hands and followed the guards. I had no other choice but to go with them. Outside, in the courtyard, I saw my mother kneeling at the feet of the terminator. Her face was stained with tears. She mouthed at me, "Be strong, my moonbeam." He gave one look at Alpha Roy, who raised his hand and brought it down in a chopping motion. I watched at the blade fell, and my mother's head rolled off her body. I had never seen anything like it, but I had a feeling that my mother was gone and that I would never see her again. That very feeling of loss and the scent of her blood brought out my wolf. "Restrain her!" Alpha Roy commanded. The guards were all around me in seconds and there was nothing more my wolf could do, as they were all stronger. They dragged me out of the courtyard. I didn't know where they were taking me to. The sun outside was already going down. My wolf was screaming inside of my head but I could not do anything. Soon, I calmed down. By the time I realized it was the dungeons they were taking me to, I knew that my life had suddenly taken a wrong turn. "Open the door!" one of the guard shouted at the jail warden. "Are you deaf? I said open the prison gate!" I looked. Surprisingly, the warden didn't move to open the gate. Instead, he moved towards us. Next thing I knew, the guards were crying and rolling on the floor. The warden knelt before me and said, "I have saved you, do one thing for me." "Who are you?" I asked. "Someone who cares." "What should I do?" "Live and make then regret this. Now, go! Run away from here and don't you look back!" "What about you?" I asked. "Don't worry about me! Save yourself!" I took a different way and ran out of Silver Pack castle, and out of the pack for good. It was getting dark but when I looked at my hands, I saw the blood of my mother. Maybe my eyes were playing jokes on me because I hadn't even gone close to her. Either way, it was enough to remind me of what I had left behind. And of what I needed to do. To live and make them regret.Haelyn's POVI left his broken hand at once and walked to the other end of the barricade. Then I sprinted across and used my foot to bring my opponent's face to the floor.Since there was no weapon to be provided, I'd have to shut him down.I waited for the barricade to unlock but the soldiers made no move to do so.I looked up and Master Riven walked back to the hosts. I thought he was going to Roy's side but he changed direction and went straight to Freya. The crowd clapped for me when I kicked my opponent in the face but they soon became restless. I heard a lot of them clamoring for a weapon to be thrown into the battleground. I couldn't blame them anyway. What they had come to see was blood and they wanted that need to be satisfied. But what the hell was happening? Had Freya seen the woman in me and wanted to ask Riven who the hell I was? Or had I been recognized? I quickly turned my face away from that spot. Though the slits, I saw Weston waving at me. There was a wicked smile
Freya's POVI laughed. And it took a while before it finally died down. What did I feel when she said that? Just humor."Here you are talking about his majesty and how there haven't been any talks about his deposition. Not you're telling me to let him go?""If you feel that he is getting out of hand, my lady. Then you might have to find a replacement. You have been showing the hand of mercy for a long time now. Maybe it is time to show the other hand of judgment."She had her way with words, that woman. Knew how to use it in a paradoxical manner that impressed me. But I didn't like the sound of what she wanted me to do. She wasn't being so direct about it but I could tell that it was a direct conception.Roy might think he owned the throne just because he was the one sitting on it. But I was the one who pulled the strings and kept him there. Half of the advisers on his council reported to me so I was always kept in the loop about the things he did. Most of them, he never even asked my
Freya's POVI stepped out of bed that morning, my mind still on the information which had been brought to my hearing by one of my maids.According to her, one of the coincilwomen had been fired by his majesty. I asked her what the reason was and she simply told me it was a matter that I should take it up with his majesty.I dismissed her and decided to wait until the morrow before bringing up the topic.First thing I did was plant a kiss on his cheek letting him think that I hadn't woken up on the wrong side of the bed. Then I got off and headed for the window without pulling on my afterdress just yet.One thing I had learned about Roy over the years was that he listened to me and did what I usually wanted him to because of my body .He was so much obsessed with my figure that he always looked forward to heavenly fun in bed. And I never disappointed him. It was a powerful way to get him under my thumb. Sex and sex and more sex was the therapy to a man like Alpha Roy. So I kept it comi
Haelyn's POV"Tell me!" I yelled at him."Alright, alright. As compared to your last fight with me, the person you're fighting with won't give you much of a problem. Heard he broke his arm in the the last fight and it still hasn't healed properly."I breathed a sigh of relief, unable to hide it. Weston saw it and gave me a pitiful look. He was messing with my head. Like some bad demon riding on my shoulders in the night and whispering bad things that could happen to me anytime soon."Get out, Weston.""Scratch my back and I scratch yours. Anyway, I'll tell you what I need you to do when you walk out later."I scoffed. "And what makes you think I'll be the one walking out alive? What if I die in there?" "Your opponent has a broken arm and to use a weapon effectively, he needs the strength of both hands.""I don't believe that." "Well, believe it, man. Because it is the truth. I've been trained well enough to understand it. So it's going to be easy peasy for you. Why would you even l
Haelyn's POV"Thirteens!"The fighters went into the battle place and got ready to go at themselves. The signal was given and the fight began.I watched the ground instead. It was stained with blood of the fighters who had been in there already. And half of them hadn't come out alive.Killian had it easy with his opponent and he'd be strong enough for the next fight. I guessed it would be the next day, since everything was gamed and the sponsors wouldn't want to give a resting spell to the fighters. The blows fell but I wasn't even looking. My mind was elsewhere. I was trying as hard as I could to shut out the screams and the grunts of pain in of my head.I had never been so close to brutal fights, and it was having a negative effect on me. Seemed like I was better off on the battleground trying to survive than being out on the sidelines watching it all unfold. The weapon fell from the hand of Master Riven. It was a tomahawk which had a chain attached to it. At the end of this chain,
Haelyn's POVWhat had just happened?Killian had operated that shield as if he was used to it. Even I had never seen that shield used before in training. Maybe they kept it for other purposes that clearly defined war."Our disgraced warrior wins!" Riven announced."Uh oh," Weston said. "You hear that?""I heard that. What the hell is Ruben talking about?"Weston turned to me with a smirk. "Seems like Killian used to be one of them. Elite warriors."That hit me hard. "So that means he's from Silver Pack," I said."Yeah. We finally have an elite soldier amongst us."Yeah, I'd been hoping that I'd get the opportunity to fight with one of them. Just to show the rest that they could be beaten. To prove that they weren't that invincible as they saw themselves to be.Killian and Riven were locked in a stare for some moments before the soldiers came in and pushed him out of the battleground. I felt that enmity between the two. Seemed like Killian had a past that wasn't too different from mine
