One Night

"Just come with me"

Elsie got into Laura's jeep and they drove off. The night sky was aglow with bright city lights. Elsie let the cool night breeze caress her cheeks and mess with her hair.

"That bastard dared to mess with you. It's a good thing you have a friend like me. I'll make you forget all your worries tonight" Laura forcefully hit the horn button thrice in a row as she cussed at the driver in her front " Move your damn ass. A bicycle rider would be able to drive better than you"

Elsie turned to look at her. Laura already poked her head outside the window and balled her left fingers at the car ahead of them " We aren't in a rush Laura" Elsie's heart fluttered as she watched her express her anger at Mason. Elsie, clearly, was the one that got assaulted, but Laura appeared even more angered than she was

The car soon halted. Elsie looked outside the car and saw a three-storied building. Its grand exteriors could make it pass off as a fancy hotel. She looked up at the third storey which held the sign, it read " One night"

"Don't tell me you drove me all the way out of town to come to a hotel" Elsie highlighted the car and went to stand next to Laura

"This is not a hotel. What kind of friend do you think I am?" She rolled her eyes "Now, listen to me. You're not allowed to move farther than five feet away from me, okay?"

The staidness her voice was laced with made Elsie curious as to where exactly she brought her to. Before she could ask anything else, Laura pulled her by the hand and led her inside. She was met with the disturbing view of ladies and men pressing their bodies against each other as they danced to the ear-deafening music

"Why did you bring me to a club, Laura?" Elsie turned back to face Laura who was grinning ear to ear.

She dragged her to the dance floor and yelled "Loosen up girlfriend, have fun" It took Laura no less than a second to start dancing and mix up with the crowd

Elsie stood on the dance floor like a lost kitten. The feeling of pull a mouse gets when it catches a sniff of cheese, that feeling, precisely was what Elsie felt that moment. Like her soul was pulling her to something. "Perhaps it's the music and atmosphere telling me to loosen up and dance my sorrow away" She finally concluded after she couldn't find a reason as to why she felt that way

She relaxed her tensed shoulders and swayed to the beat of the music. It wasn't long before she totally got immersed in the music. Elsie stopped a waiter passing by and took a glass of alcohol from his tray, gulped it down in one go and dropped the empty glass on his tray.

Before she could decipher anything, she already drank up to five glasses of alcohol and was already feeling a little tipsy. Her feet were wobbly and her sight was hazy. She stopped dancing and left the dance floor

"Excuse me, where's the restroom?" With her twisted tongue, she asked a man she met on the way

In Elsie's drunken state, she couldn't see the smirk that found its way to the man's face. He pointed upstairs and said "Go that way, you'll see it"

She swayed as she made her way upstairs " When did the room turn spiral?" She stumbled to the side and almost hit a lady " I'm sorry"

After she got to the upper floor, a hand grabbed her from behind and pushed her against the wall. The reeking odour of alcohol filled her nostrils as a man brought his lips closer to her face " Hope you don't mind sharing a night with me, beautiful" The tipsiness Elsie felt dissipated as she tried to get a clear view of the person trying to assault her. It was the man that gave her directions to the restroom!

An immense feeling of dejavu swept over her body. It looked exactly like how Mason tried to assault her earlier. Elsie bit her inner cheeks and tried to fight back the tears that were threatening to fall. She tried to wiggle herself out of his grip but couldn't. It didn't help that she was drunk

"Let go of me" Elsie told the man, but was met with his brown crooked teeth. He smiled at her. With no regard for the pain he was inflicting on her, he forcefully tried to hold her face in place "Playing hard to get huh"

The tears finally fell down her cheeks. His face was only a few inches away from mine. She closed her eyes and turned her head to the side to avoid his disgusting approach

Elsie felt his hold around her wrist loosen and the next thing she heard was the sound of wall breaking, bones cracking and the scream of a man. She opened her eyes and saw that the wall opposite her has broken giving access to the room behind the wall. The man and woman making out in the other room immediately covered themselves with a blanket

The man that tried to assault her lay unmoving on the floor next to the bed in the other room the wall collapsed into. And next to the broken wall was the stranger whose car Elsie entered the other day. His brown eyes shot deadly stares at the almost-dead man on the floor

Earlier,

Damien was in his private room on the third floor, at One Night, his favourite club, giving in to his desires. Chelsea, the top slut at the club had her legs around his waist as she kissed all over his neck and seductively unbuttoned his shirt.

Chelsea ran her hands through his chest and abs, trying to arose him, just the way he liked it. He merely sat still and watched her do her thing until a surge of pull flamed over him. Just like a metal is drawn to a magnet, such was what he felt, like an invisible force was pulling his soul to something

Thinking it will diminish to nothing after a few minutes, Damien ignored the feeling. How wrong was he, the pull got stronger. His body heated up, not because of the intimate session between Chelsea and him , but because he was fighting off the pull

"Get off me and leave" The kisses and skin contact between him and Chelsea began to irritate and make him uncomfortable

" Do I need to remind you just how much you love to fill me?" Damien harshly caught Chelsea's wrist before her hand could reach his trouser. His ballistic expression made Chelsea cower "Out!"

Chelsea picked her dress from the floor and dashed out without wearing them. Damien put his shirt on and went outside, ready to tackle whatever it was that made him so restless. He followed the path of where the pull was leading me until he got to the second floor where he saw a man assaulting a lady

The deepest depth of his anger unlocked as he watched the tears trickle down the lady's cheek. He could feel his demons threatening to burst out. He strode to the man assaulting her, grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and threw him across the room, breaking the wall

Elsie watched with astonishment as Damien strode to the man who tried to assault her. Damien pulled the man up and landed a ghastly punch to his mouth. A splatter of blood gushed out from the man's mouth

Elsie yelped and closed her eyes shut. Damien attempted to land another punch at the man's mouth

"That's enough" Elsie opened her eyes and looked in the direction of where she heard the voice

It was another man. His left hand was in his pocket while his right hand adjusted the collar of his shirt. His transparent green eyes were downcasted. His expression spelt nonchalance

Damien looked at Aiden and stopped hitting the other man. The man coughed out another mouthful of blood as Damien abruptly dropped him to the ground filled with broken bricks. Damien walked to Alden and they left the club together, without sparing Elsie a single glance

"Elsie! What the heck happened?" Laura ran up the stairs to Elsie
