Chapter 04

　　\"Stop!\"

　　There was a loud shout and the men subconsciously stopped. Spencer turned his head and saw an angry Serena Zhou.

　　\"Mom? Why are you here?\" Spencer asked, dumbfounded.

　　Serena walked up to Spencer with a cold face, suddenly raised her hand, and gave him a slap on the face.

　　\"Mom!\" Spencer frowned. In his memory, this was the first time his mother had beaten him, and it was even at this age when he was now a grown man.

　　Serena ignored him and just squatted down to help Melissa. Deep distress and guilt were evident in her eyes. She hugged Melissa who was crying and patted her back softly, comforting her, \"Melissa, don\'t cry. It\'s okay, it\'s okay.\"

　　Melissa, who was still crying loudly, was so terrified that she felt like she had already lost her soul.

　　Serena helped Melissa get up, and said coldly to Spencer, \"I\'m taking Melissa with me! You are not allowed to approach her in the future without my permission!\"

　　Spencer twisted his eyebrows, \"Mom! Did you know that Quincy\'s heart was taken by that woman?\"

　　He didn\'t want to mention Quincy to his mother because it would surely make her sad. The smart and sensible Quincy was the heart and center of everyone in the Zhao family, especially his mother who was really fond of her.

　　Quincy was abducted and his mother became sad that she still talked to Quincy\'s photos every day, but the murderer who killed Quincy was right in front of him, and he couldn\'t let it go.

　　Serena\'s expression was sad for a moment, and then she glared at Spencer, \"I\'m warning you again, you are not allowed to touch a hair in her head, otherwise I will not forgive you!\"

　　\"Mom!\" Spencer scratched his head irritably. He even suspected that the mother in front of him was fake. How could she easily let Melissa go after hearing the truth?

　　\"I have witnessed this matter. Zairus personally asked the doctor to take Quincy\'s heart! I clearly discovered this fact!\" Spencer absolutely wouldn\'t allow his mother to let Melissa go.

　　Melissa had already recovered at this moment. She gave Spencer a blank look, \"Spencer, we have been in love for three years, don\'t you really believe me at all?\"

　　Her questioning that was filled with sadness made Spencer\'s chest tighten again.

　　It was a very strange feeling to him, so he was a little confused, and then said sarcastically, \"Did you think I really love you? I just wanted you to feel the feeling of having the whole world and then nothing!\"

　　These words seemed to hit Melissa like a huge boulder, causing her body to shake.

　　\"So, you approached me and pursued me before just so you could exact your revenge on me today? You never, not even the slightest, loved me?\"

　　She spoke with difficulty, and asked Spencer in a trembling voice.

　　Spencer raised his eyebrows, \"Yes.\"

　　Yes?

　　Melissa laughed silently, but the more she laughed, the fiercer the tears flowed from her eyes.

　　Serena frowned and scolded Spencer, \"Shut up!\"

　　After speaking, she softly persuaded Melissa, \"Come with me, my dear. Let\'s go home.\"

　　Melissa followed Serena back to the Zhao family\'s house, and he did not see her for several days.

　　Melissa\'s figure has been lingering in his mind, her teary eyes, desperate face, her somber questioning, and the smiles of the past, which were constantly changing, making Spencer a little confused.

　　His chest tightened for a while, thinking about how he often thought of Melissa because of his hatred toward her.

　　He curled his lips, thinking that with the protection of his mother, he wouldn\'t be able to take her away from his mom.

　　Spencer squeezed out the cigarette butt in his hand.

　　Seven days later, Serena received a call and went to the United States alone.

　　At noon, on the day she left, Melissa ran to the door of Spencer\'s villa under the scorching sun, banged on the door hysterically and shouted, \"Spencer! Spencer, open the door!\"
