ISLA'S POV

Two weeks ago, my parents made one of the best decisions they could have for me. They decided that I move in with Robert. Ever since that moment, I had been eagerly counting down the days until it finally became a reality. The anticipation was almost unbearable, and more than once, I found myself tempted to call Robert, just to double-check if he truly meant it, or if he was simply giving in to my parents' pressure. I knew how persuasive they could be when they really wanted something. But, honestly, I wasn’t going to let that bother me.

I had been dreaming of this day for so long.

Still on my dilemma, my phone rang, and the name "Dad" appeared on the screen, accompanied by a single heart emoji. My heart skipped a beat.

"Hey, Dad!" I answered, my voice light and cheerful. I couldn't help the surge of happiness that had been with me ever since I received their approval to move in with Robert.

"Hey Isla, how are you doing? Have you packed everything? Don’t forget to leave a key for Mrs. Rogers, remember? And let me know once you’ve arrived at Mr. Hardy’s place. Also, don’t be a brat with him. I know he spoils you, but you’re an adult now. Don’t disappoint me. And limit the time you spend hanging out with that Hailey Carter, you..."

"Okay, okay, I’ve heard you, Dad. Thanks for checking in. Bye!" I quickly ended the call and tossed my phone onto the bed.

My dad had never been fond of my friendship with Hailey. He thought she was too carefree, too "irresponsible," and he was convinced her influence would rub off on me. It was frustrating, but I’d gotten used to it. He always seemed to know what was best for me, even when I disagreed.

For a moment, I considered calling Robert. I knew he was a busy man, a successful businessman who rarely had time for personal calls. I didn’t want to be one of those annoying people who nagged him with constant check-ins. I wasn’t some helpless child. But, still, I couldn’t help wondering how things would be between us now that I was going to live with him.

I had already moved my luggage out of the house. It had already been arranged that Robert’s driver would pick me up today.  A sleek black SUV pulled up to the front of the house, and to my surprise, Robert stepped out of the car. He moved with an effortless grace that seemed to command the very air around him. His presence exuded a refined elegance, a kind of quiet, magnetic confidence. A warm smile spread across his face as he caught sight of me.  When was the last time I saw him? A year ago, at my parents' wedding anniversary party.

Now, standing before him, I couldn’t take my eyes off him. His movements were sure, and graceful, like someone who was entirely comfortable in their own skin. The way his eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, the spark in his gaze… everything about him seemed to draw me in.

His crisp white shirt clung to his lean, muscular frame, and the first few buttons were undone, revealing a broad chest dusted with dark hair. My mind wandered, imagining what it would feel like to place my hands on that chest, to trace the contours of those muscles while straddling him.

Isla?" He called snapping a finger at my face, dragging me abruptly from my wild daydreams. "What are you so lost in thought about?"

The question made me flush deeply and I just couldn't help feeling embarrassed.

"I..was wondering if I'm forgetting anything important," I shrugged, trying to be nonchalant about the fact that I had just been caught red handed acting like a little brute.

Robert flashed a really cool smile that all the more made him mesmerizing. Gosh! Was he aware of the effect he had on me? I  was stupidly  in love with this man and everything he is.

"Well, that's not a problem. You could always come here to pick things up. Let's fix your luggages in…you sure packed enough."

I didn't know if I should feel embarrassed by that last statement or not. It seemed like I'd packed my things to permanently move in as his wife. The thought of being his wife made me giggle.

He single handedly swept my luggages into his trunk and we drove off.

"Welcome to my humble home Miss Isla Turner." Robert mockly said as he pushed the door open after unlocking it with his thumbprint.

"Humble?" I repeated with a chuckle.

"Isn't it?" He asked innocently as he moved two of my boxes in. I started regretting carrying too much stuff.

The sitting room was magnificent and breathtaking, he had quite the classy taste. He was a billionaire after all.

"I'll show you to your room" He said to me with his baritone voice, taking both boxes with him as I trailed  behind clutching my large make up box, resisting the urge to feel guilty.

The room was spacious and luxurious. It was twice the size of my own room, with floor to ceiling windows that seemed to overlook the whole of Chicago.

"I hope you'll be comfortable here." He said with a small smile and I nodded in reply.

I was no longer just a girl with a secret crush, I was a young woman on the brink of a new chapter.

"Thank you Robert," The name rolled out of my lips, sounding more sensual than I had intended.

His gaze lingered a bit on my lips. What was he thinking?

ROBERT..By the time I pulled into the driveway, it was already past midnight. Even if Bryan had tried to sweet talk me into spending the night over at his place, I still couldn't find myself accepting the offer. My heart felt so heavy like a huge boulder was set upon it. I found myself gasping more times than what would have been called normal. My thoughts were scattered all over the place.Guilt? Remorse? I didn't know which it was, but it kept gnawing at the pit of my stomach and I decided to just leave.Upon my return at the mansion, the house was wrapped in such an eerie stillness. Of course, I wasn't expecting anyone to be up, not the servants or Isla. My heart clenched tightly at the thought of her. How could a man be so torn between two kinds of feelings? Two kinds of feelings that felt completely different from each other. I sighed deeply as I drew out the slacked tie knotted loosely on my neck, and began to make my way slowly up the stairs. I wasn't drunk, but my vision f

  • Entangled Hearts: The Forbidden Bond   My Guilty Pleasure

ROBERT . .I felt my heart hammering against my chest as the memories of all our past encounter flooded into my mind. I felt my breath suddenly catching at the back of my throat. As if sensing the tension, Bryan opened his mouth, but then closed it. The room seemed to shrink around us, trapping us in the gravity of our desires. I didn't even realize how much I craved having his cock inside of me. God! how could one overcome their wildest fantasies? Especially when that fantasy was staring at you like you're their favorite meal.Bryan stepped closer. He was just a breath away from me, and I was very conscious of that. His eyes moved down to my slightly quivering lips, before returning to my eyes which have become painfully moist with desire. “Bryan...” I whispered, my voice both a warning and a plea. A plea for him to deny me that pleasure I so badly craved. “Tell me to stop,” He said softly. He was so close now that I could feel the warmth of his breath against my face. But No.

ROBERT....I came down the stairs, making barely audible noise. It wasn't like I was trying to sneak away from my own house. It was just that I had an unsettling feeling that Isla wouldn't be glad about my meeting with Bryan. As I rounded the stairs, my eyes settled on her frame. She sat curled up on the couch, her eyes lifted to meet mine the moment I entered. The way she looked at me made me pause. It was a curious gaze. I hadn’t told her about the dinner with Bryan and his associates tonight. Not yet.Her gaze drifted over my dark suit, her eyes lingering more on my chest, on the part where I had undone the buttons that were supposed to cover the flesh on that area. I just wanted to beat the heat. "You’re going out?" Her voice was soft, almost hesitant like she ought not to ask.I nodded, trying to steady my own voice. "Yeah, just a small dinner with a friend. Business stuff."Somehow I felt there wasn't any need to bring up Bryan. She gave a small smile, but I caught the subt

ROBERTThe restaurant buzzed with the quiet hum of morning conversations, the clink of cutlery against plates, and the soft strains of classical music playing in the background. Sunlight streamed through the tall windows, casting a golden glow over the polished marble floors and the crisp white tablecloths. It suited my taste well enough. Bryan sat across from me, his perfectly tailored suit impeccable as always. He sipped his espresso, his eyes scanning the menu with that ease—like someone that felt comfortable in their skin. I stirred my coffee, the aroma rich and comforting. "When are you heading back to Greece?" I asked, keeping my tone casual.Bryan looked up, a hint of surprise in his eyes. "Why do you ask? Are you trying to get rid of me?"I chuckled, taking a sip of my coffee. "Just curious. You've been here for a while."He leaned back in his chair, studying me. "Is this about Isla?"I paused, the question catching me off guard. "What makes you say that?"Bryan shrugged, a

ISLAThe conference room emptied slowly, the murmur of voices fading as the exquisitely dressed attendees filed out. I gathered my notes, the weight of the meeting still pressing on my shoulders. The condescending manner in which Mia had regarded me, and how everyone in the room had took notice of me, gnawed furiously at my stomach. I wouldn't forgive her for that.As I stepped into the hallway, the cool air offered a brief consolation. I leaned against the wall, waiting for Robert, while causally flipping through the minutes I had just taken down. Suddenly a familiar scent of expensive perfume filled my nose. I knew who it was. I could recognize that signature smell that always seemed to be all over me. "Isla," Mia's voice rang into my ears.I looked up, meeting her gaze. She always wore that cocky triumphant smile, like she was auditioning for some dental care products. "Yes." I sounded even more irritated that I thought I was.She stepped closer, her heels clicking ominously aga

Soon, Isla and I were on my bed cudddled up naked in each other's arm. I buried my nose into her hair, inhaling the sweet mild citrus fragrance on her well shampooed hair. "This is the first time we spend the night together," her voice slurred out, carrying on a drowsy note. "Is it?" I arched my brows up. "I think it's the second time." I trailed kisses on her cheeks, and down to her neck. She moaned out in exhaustion. "Robert." The way she said my name, barely above a whisper, melted something deep inside me. It wasn't full of desire—it was something else entirely. Something that felt so genuine. I pulled her closer, tightening my arms around her as if to claim her, and let her know she belonged to just me. "You okay?" I murmured into her hair, brushing a gentle kiss against her temple. She nodded slowly, her fingers drawing idle patterns across my chest. "I think I’m just... tired. But a good kind of tired." I chuckled softly. "The kind that makes you feel alive?" "Exac
