Chapter One Hundred-Twenty-Seven

Alexander arrived at the hotel, well past midnight. He carefully shut the door, assuming Camilla was already inside and likely asleep.

As he entered the room, he was engulfed in darkness.

After a tiring day at the hospital, all he desired was to relax in a soothing bath and snuggle up in bed with Camilla.

In order to brighten up the space, he flipped the switch on the wall. What he saw in the illuminated suite left him stunned.

He noticed a shattered vase lying on the floor, its delicate pieces scattered around.

The once elegant golden statue, used for decoration and formerly perched on the shelf, now lay broken into two separate parts on the ground.

A peculiar sight greeted him as he glanced towards the floor, where an unusually large amount of sand seemed to have accumulated.

His gaze then shifted to the bed, which appeared disheveled and empty, though with slight signs of recent disturbance.

Camil...Camilla?" His voice trembled with worry as he cautiously made his way into the room
