Ava's POV

Just this morning, I had found myself feeling unwell and Elora had insisted I needed to visit the hospital or more appropriately, the clinic.

My whole body had felt so weak and immediately I got to the clinic, I had slipped into unconsciousness. By the time I opened my eyes, Elora was still beside me and had been elated before running to call Kyle who must have been in the waiting room.

Just as Kyle entered the room and was about to speak, the door pushed open again and a young man stormed in, his body tensed with some sense of urgency.

“Beta Kyle,” the young man called, bowing his head, “I’m afraid I have urgent news.”

Kyle turned to the young man, his eyebrow suddenly raised in interest.

“Spill!” Kyle barked, his full attention now focused on the young man.

I saw a look of hesitation flash across the young man's eyes, his hands shook as he became more tense.

“I don't have all day, Calvin.” Kyle growled and the young man flinched.

“The news,” Calvin hesitated, sucking in a

Ava's POVThe afternoon sun beat down on the training grounds, soaking my body with sweats as I sparred against Kyle. My muscles ached, my breath came in ragged gasps, but I refused to stop. Kyle, his eyes sharp and focused, pushed me harder, relentlessly drilling me in combat techniques. He knew what I was up against, the daunting prospect of facing Tom, the hulking brute who had challenged me for the Alpha's position."Don't let his size intimidate you," he barked, his voice echoing across the field. "He's strong, yes, but strength alone doesn't win fights. Use your speed, Ava. Use your agility. Use your wits."He explained Tom’s reputation, how fear preceded him like a shadow, how his sheer strength had earned him a reputation as being unbeatable—most of the pack members see him that way. The tales of his dominance echoed in my ears; they were the whispers of the pack, whispers that spoke of both admiration and fear. Some of the elders had tried to dissuade me from going through w

Dylan's POV My eyes remain fixed on the door as Rachael left. I could read Kane’s demeanor like a book. Something was wrong, and Kane didn’t seem like the type to come in with news that didn’t involve serious matters. I noticed the way his jaw was set, the way his fists were clenched. There was a storm brewing in him, and it didn’t feel good.“Spill it,” I commanded, crossing my arms over my chest.Kane exhaled slowly, and for a moment, I saw uncertainty flicker across his features, something I didn’t often see. “I’ve seen Ava’s fur coat,” he said, his voice thick with concern. “It was spilled with blood.”When I heard his words, a wave of anger crashed over me. I didn’t want to hear anything about Ava. The last thing I wanted was to become more entangled in my emotions about her. My wolf stirred, restless and angry, blaming me for what was happening. “Enough,” I warned, my voice low and sharp. “Don’t bring anything about Ava to my notice again.”But Kane didn’t seem to hear me; ins

  • Entangled with the Savage Alpha King   Chapter 94

Ava's POVThe morning breeze blew past my face as I sat at the edge of the bed, staring at the walls of my room. I couldn't get the challenge from the bulky man out of my head. It has been the only thing playing on my head since yesterday. I thought of the sheer size of the man's hand—exactly the size of a hammer. How do I deal with that kind of man? He'd crush my skull with a single blow!Still deep in my thoughts, I stood up from the bed and walked around the room. I was still in my thoughts and pacing around the room when I heard a knock from the door.I got to the door and I saw the old woman — Mitchell, Kyle was beside her too.“Surprised to see us this early?” Kyle asked, a chuckle escaping his lips.“Ava, are you okay?” Mitchell asked as she stepped inside alongside Kyle.I didn't answer, instead I drew a shaky breath, my hand involuntarily going to my belly. Kyle, ever perceptive, saw the flicker of fear in my eyes. He placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder, his touch warm an

Dylan's POV I watched as the smoke from the cigarette danced around my fingers as I sat in my office chair. I took another puff of the Cuban cigar and I watched absentmindedly as the smoke danced around the air, the distinct flavor filling my nostrils. This time around, I was only trying to smoke to clear my head but that wasn't working, my mind was elsewhere, stuck on the events of the past day. Georgia, that evil witch, had managed to escape again. And Phil... Phil was nowhere to be found. I had expected to crush any opposition in the Doba mountains, but it seemed Phil had taken most of his wolves with him.Involuntarily, my fingers moved to the embers of the cigarette and it burned me slightly. But, I only held it tighter, the pain from the embers didn't do justice to the sad feeling I was having in my heart.I felt a pang of disappointment. This expedition had yielded nothing but questions. Where was Phil? What was he planning? And how had Georgia escaped so easily? I had though

  • Entangled with the Savage Alpha King   Chapter 92

Ava's POVThe afternoon sun was beginning to shrink, casting long, soft shadows through the open hall windows. It was quiet, almost too quiet for a pack known for its strength and loud pride. Today, though, even the strongest stood with their heads low and their voices hushed. We were mourning Axel.It still didn’t feel real. My brother—gone. I didn’t get to know him the way I wanted to. There were so many questions in my heart about why he came to the Bloodcrest pack, what really brought him there, and what he hoped to tell me before it was too late. But none of that mattered now. He was gone, and there was no bringing him back.I stood with the others, a black cloth tied around my arm. That was the tradition here. A sign of respect, of sorrow. Everyone wore one. Even the children stood still. No one dared speak above a whisper. The people of this pack mourned differently than I was used to. There were no loud cries or broken sobs, just quiet songs and soft chants. They believed that
