Sapphire’s pov

I guess the saying is true. When you fail to learn from history then you’re bound to repeat it. The moon goddess has given me another chance to learn from history and this time, I won’t make the same mistake I did last time.

I watched as Larissa came to me like clock work, drinks in hand . I was ready to confront and strangle her so hard but I realized that would be too easy. Opportunities like this only come once and I’m not going to waste it .

As I watched, Larissa made her way towards me, a smug smile plastered on her face. I felt a surge of anger, but I pushed it down, determined to play it cool.

I took a deep breath and pretended not to see her, walking straight towards her with a careless air. The drinks in her hand spilled all over her dress as we collided.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed, trying to sound as sincere as possible. "I'm such a clumsy fool!"

Larissa's face turned red with rage as she stared at the stains on her dress. "You fucking twat, can't you see where you're going?" she yelled, her voice echoing through the hall.

I felt a twinge of satisfaction at seeing her so angry, but I kept my expression neutral. "Oh, Larissa, I'm so sorry! I'll fix it, I promise." I said, trying to sound as contrite as possible.

Larissa's eyes narrowed, her face twisted in anger. "You did that on purpose, you stupid bitch!" She spat, her voice rising above the murmurs of the crowd.

A smirk began to form on my lips but I quickly hid it, determined to keep my cool. "Oh, Larissa, how could you think that? I would never do such a thing!" I exclaimed, my voice dripping with sweetness.

The crowd began to murmur, some people giggling at the spectacle. Larissa's face turned redder, her anger boiling over. I knew that I had to tread carefully, to keep the charade going without pushing Larissa too far.

But for now, I was content to watch Larissa squirm, to see the anger and frustration written all over her face. It was a small victory, but it was a start. And I was determined to make the most of this second chance, to use it to my advantage and come out on top.

As I stood there, smiling sweetly at Larissa, I felt a sense of satisfaction wash over me. This was just the beginning. I had a plan, and I was determined to see it through.

The moon goddess had given me a second chance, and I was not going to waste it. I was going to make Larissa pay for what she had done to me, and I was going to enjoy every minute of it.

I followed Larissa to her room, trying to console her as she fumed with anger. She reached her room and was about to slam the door when I called out, holding open the door.

"Wait!" I exclaimed, trying to sound sincere. "Let me fix this, Larissa."

She turned to me, her eyes blazing with anger. "And how would you do that?" she spat, her voice venomous.

I took a deep breath, trying to keep my expression neutral. "You can wear mine," I said, trying to sound casual.

Larissa's eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing mine. For a moment, I thought she would refuse my offer, that she would see right through my facade. But then, something flickered in her eyes, a spark of interest, of desire.

"You'd let me wear your gown?" she asked, her voice laced with skepticism.

I nodded, trying to sound as sincere as possible. "Of course, Larissa. I want to make it up to you. Besides, the gown would look stunning on you."

As I walked over to my closet, Larissa's eyes followed me, her gaze fixed on the gown. I could sense her excitement, her anticipation. She had always wanted this gown, had always been jealous of me for having it in my past life . And now, I was handing it to her on a silver platter.

As I pulled out the gown, the candlelight in the room danced across its intricate embroidery, illuminating the delicate threads of silver and gold. The gown was a masterpiece of medieval craftsmanship, its velvet fabric a deep, rich blue that seemed to shimmer in the light.

The bodice was fitted, with delicate lace trimming the edges, and the sleeves were long and flowing, with tiny seed pearls sewn into the fabric. The skirt fell in soft folds to the floor, the hem embroidered with a delicate pattern of vines and flowers.

Larissa's eyes widened as she took in the gown's beauty, her breath catching in her throat. "It's even more beautiful than I remembered," she said, her voice full of longing.

She reached out a hand, hesitantly, as if afraid to touch the gown's delicate fabric. I smiled, holding out the gown to her. "Try it on," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

Larissa's eyes locked onto mine, a spark of excitement flaring in their depths.

I smiled, handing her the gown. "Try it on," I said, knowing that she would in a heartbeat

As Larissa took the gown from me, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. This was just the beginning of my plan, and I was eager to see how it would all play out.

“Infact try it on here I’ll hold your purse and that ruined gown” I said knowing that she’s too distracted by the gown to remember that the drugs she put in my drink was in her purse

Larissa handed me the purse and gown as she went in to change.

The minute she went it I quickly opened the purse, grabbing the drugs that were inside and hid in pocket of my petticoat

As Larissa emerged from the dressing room, I turned my expression to one of excitement and admiration. "Oh my, you look absolutely gorgeous!" I exclaimed, trying to sound as sincere as possible.

Larissa smiled, her eyes gleaming with pride. "Of course I do," she said, her voice dripping with confidence. "There was no possible way you would have pulled this off."

A wave of anger threatened to wash over me, but I pushed it back, confining my charade. I couldn't let Larissa see how much her words had hurt me. I had to keep up the act, no matter how hard it was.

Just as I was starting to feel like I was losing control, one of our maids burst into the room, curtsying low. "Lady Larissa, your father needs you. The Lycan pack has arrived."

Larissa's expression changed in an instant, her eyes narrowing as she turned to the maid. "Tell my father I'll be right there," she said, her voice cold and detached.

As the maid scurried out of the room, Larissa turned to me, her eyes flashing with warning. "Remember, Sapphire, you're just a guest here. Don't forget your place."

I smiled sweetly, my heart seething with resentment. "Of course, Larissa. I wouldn't dream of it."

Sapphire’s povAfter calming the pack, Dad, Dimitri, and I headed inside, our discomfort palpable. We gathered around the fireplace, the crackling flames casting flickering shadows on our faces. Mary came in and set the fire, her eyes filled with sympathy."Who did it?" I asked in a hushed tone, my gaze fixed on the flames. My reaction was still raw, my emotions simmering just below the surface."Pardon me?" Father asked, his brow furrowed in confusion."Who started the fire, Father?" I pressed, my voice firm but controlled. "You must have known who it was."Sadly, we don't," Father replied, his expression somber."Well, are you trying every day to find out?" I asked, my frustration growing.Father sighed, his eyes tired. "Look, Sapphire, it's late. Finding the person won't bring your sister back, so let's just drop the issue.

Father's face was etched with sorrow, his eyes filled with tears."I'm so sorry, Sapphire," he whispered, his voice cracking. "I should have been able to save her."I shook my head, unable to speak. The weight of my loss was crushing me, making it hard to breathe. Dimitri's grip on me tightened, holding me upright.Suddenly, the sound of horses' hooves echoed through the night air. A group of riders emerged from the darkness, their faces illuminated by the flickering flames of our burning estate. One of the riders dismounted, rushing towards us.his face set in a grim expression."I'm so sorry," he said, his voice low and urgent. Sapphire’s povAfter my bath, Mary bid me goodnight and left, closing the door softly behind her. I slipped into my nightgown, my mind still reeling from the events of the day. What had the fortune teller meant, especially when she'd called Dimitri and me a couple? I shook my head, trying to clear the thoughts. Taking a deep breath, I slowly drifted off to sleep. But my rest was short-lived. It felt like mere hours had passed before I stirred, groggily opening my eyes to find my room shrouded in a thick, eerie fog. I sat up with a start, my heart racing as I realized that my entire room was filled with smoke.I began coughing, my lungs burning from the smoke. Soon, screams echoed from outside, and I quickly stepped out into the chaos. Maids were running wildly, their faces panicked. I rushed to Father's room to rescue him, but he wasn't there.I turned to see the fire had already consumed part

Sapphire’s povThe silence between us was thick, and Dimitri's expression was unreadable. It wasn't my place to ask what was on his mind, so I didn't."Is that all for the day?" he finally asked."No, actually," I replied. "We still have to see the village fortune teller.""Oh, a fortune teller," he said, a faint smile playing on his lips. "How interesting. Well, lead the way."The air felt lighter as we walked towards the fortune teller's home.“ so do you believe in fortune telling” I asked to cut the silence“ no I don’t, but it’s nice others do, I just don’t”Oh okay.. I actually don’t either” I lied I really doAs we approached the fortune teller's place, I couldn't shake the feeling that we

Sapphire’s povThe next day, I woke up with a sense of determination. I was going to do everything in my power to avoid Dimitri and anything that had to do with him. After a quick breakfast, I gathered my things, ready to head out to the village for some work that needed my attention. Just as I reached the door, my father called out to me, his voice echoing with authority.“Is everything okay, Father?” I asked, halting mid-step, my heart racing slightly at the unexpected interruption.“I have some matters to discuss with your sister,” he replied, his tone serious. “So why don’t you take Dimitri for your morning patrol?”My stomach churned at the mention of his name. “Uhm, Father, I’m sure the Lycan King won’t want to see some villagers,” I protested, trying to mask the rising panic within me.But before I could finish my thought, Dimitri’s voice cut through the air, smooth and confident. “No, I would actually love to come.”I felt heat rush to my cheeks, a mix of frustration and embar

Sapphires povDimitri leaned against the counter, a smirk playing on his lips as he took another gulp of water. “You know I’m the lycan king, right? I could smell you from a mile away.” His gaze remained fixed on the cup, not even bothering to look in my direction. My heart raced at his words—how did he know? When did he realize? With a resigned sigh, I stepped out from behind the door, feeling the weight of his presence.“If you knew I was there, then why didn’t you say so sooner? You had to make me feel dumb?” I shot back, my voice laced with a playful cunning as I approached him.“Cause I liked how cute you think you can hide from me.” Really? I raised an eyebrow, intrigued, as I closed the distance between us, stopping just inches away. I could feel his heartbeat, the intoxicating scent of him filling the air. A smile crept onto my face as I remembered my earlier thirst. I turned to pour some water into the cup, finally acknowledging my own needs. Taking a sip, I moved away fro
