Chapter 5

“ Please… I w-won’t tell anyone please” She pleaded desperately.

“ You aren’t going anywhere.” Caesar announced as he reached the bed standing tall in his glory while coldly staring down at Lailah whose face paled upon hearing his words.

“ W-why?” Lailah stuttered as she felt her body going numb, helpless in the situation.

“Last night, you saw something you shouldn’t and now you aren’t leaving unless you are dead.” Caesar informed and Lailah could feel all her organs stopped functioning

Laila’s mind took a minute to pause sinking Caesar's words. Her throat contrasted in agony as her senses were in a mess she didn't know what to do.

“P-please I-I won't tell anyone so please l-let me go. I promise p-please..” She assured even though she knows it wont work but now she has to do anything to leave this place. Alive.

“It’s not a matter of you telling anyone. You weren’t supposed to be there in the first place.” He told her and Laila’s breathing became unstable, noticing him close to her.

Lailah hastily tried to get off the bed and run away but Caesar caught her before she could do as he  yanked her and twisted her hand behind and clutched a handful of her thick locks, taking complete control over her body as she winced in pain.

“Running away won’t do you any good baby.” He warned close to her ears making her body shiver all over as his breath brushed against her naked neck.

Caesar can’t help but close his eyes to control himself as her lavender scent is making him lose his senses as he growls and the vibration from his sturdy chest makes her freeze in caution like a deer caught in headlight.

He pushed her harshly on the bed as she fell on her stomach. Lailah felt her whole body going numb, her mind was sending signals to her body like a beeping warning machine conveying the danger if she isn’t running away from there right now.

She tried to crawl, clenching on the bed sheet, to escape but Caesar held her ankle and swiftly pulled her down as she turned and he hovered over her, his knees between her thighs as he caged her between his strong arms on the bed.

Lailah gasped at the abrupt pull as fresh tears slid from the corner of her eyes while her lips quiver wanting to let out a sob which she was holding in “ P-please I d-didn't do anything. L-let me go.”

Caesar leaned himself closing the little distance they have between as his jade eyes scanned her features from her beautiful honey orbs glistening in tears to her luscious sweet lips he tasted last night.

“ You will only leave when I allow you to, so save your pleas.” His rough voice showed her pleas weren't affecting him and he will never be affected by anyone’s words or miseries.

“W-why are you doing this to me?..” Lailah sniffled, her tone in surrender as the words were beginning harder for her to speak, “ W-what have I e-ever done?”

“You have seen more than needed. Your existence will be a hurdle for me in the future, so you must be erased” Caesar announced his orbs of green getting dark as his tone was deadly.

“Unless you listen to me like a good girl.” He smirked with playfulness like a Chesiher cat as he leaned and couldn't help himself to inhale her sweet lavender scent as Lailah gulped feeling his close contact.

“Remember, you are under my mercy. Don’t do anything reckless that will guarantee you death baby.” He breathed with warning visible in his tone and all Lailah could do was stay there like a paralyzed body with her tears running down from the corner of her eyes.

“Look here Miss.Mavis, we are trying our best to do the job, you shou-” The policemen spoke as he looked straight at the woman who has been in the station since last night.

“YOU AREN’T TRYING ENOUGH!” Mavis interrupted him as she slammed her hand on the office table, her eyes smeared from the makeup she did last night to go for the wedding and the after party.

Tears poured from her tired orbs as sobs slowly came out from her, her body slumped in tiredness as she silently cried.

“M-my niece has been l-lost since last night…. She’d n-never run from the h-house why don't you understand she’s been kidnapped!!” Mavis screamed and all the eyes were at her but she didn’t care, she just wanted to find her niece.

Ever since last night Lailah hasn’t answered Mavis’ call, she felt something suspicious. She didn’t bother at first as she became busy during the after party but as her calls continued to be ignored, she couldn't turn a blind eye to it and when Lailah’s phone was switched off she knew something wasn’t right.

Mavis quickly returned home and when she noticed Lailah wasn’t home she straightly went to the police station to file a complaint and has been in the station ever since.

“Miss we understand, but we are still yet to receive the CCTV footage from the CVS she went to.” The officer explained but Mavis was getting restless by each second not knowing her niece’s whereabouts.

“Lailah… where are you my child….” She thought while praying in her heart for her niece’s safety.

Limping down the hallway, Lailah quietly walked while taking the support of the wall trying to escape the place. Caesar left as soon as it was reported a guest had arrived to meet him, taking that chance, she was determined to leave from the place after whatever he said to her.

There was no one in sight, and she was relieved but she doesn’t know which way is the exit and she keeps on getting lost further in this huge house.

Lailah stopped for a breather as she looked at her swollen ankle. It was throbbing a lot more than before because she is moving but she has to endure the pain.

“Oh my- what are you doing here?” Lailah froze hearing someone spotted her, she hesitantly turned and found the elderly woman that was with her in the room earlier.

Though she felt the elderly won’t do harm to her she can’t trust anyone working in this place right now.

Despite her swollen ankle, she sucked up the pain and dashed as fast as she could ignoring the elderly’s shout trying to stop her. She ran her way to wherever her leg took her.

Soon she found herself in the middle of the main hall, the exit gate was right before her eyes but there were two guards walking into the house and the shout from behind her from the elderly alerted the guards as they noticed her.

“Guards! Catch her!!” Jessica commanded out of breath as Lailah rushed out seeing the guards were running towards her to catch her.

She rushed to the furthest room she found and entered it as she closed the door. It was some kind of study room with a small bar filled with liqueurs and fine wines but the people she found inside made her color drain from her skin.

Before her was the man she wished she never met, her kidnapper, her worst nightmare. The door of the room suddenly burst open and the guards appeared, catching Lailah and she struggled to get off their grip.

“NO! L-leave me alone!! Let me go!!” Lailah screamed thrashing in their hold as Jessica caught up with them but she froze on her spot seeing her master in the room .

“Guys guys why are you being harsh on the lady” The unknown voice from the other person in the room made Lailah still as the person took slow strides towards them; his gaze scanned Lailah up and down making her uncomfortable.

“My my Leonardo… you didn’t tell me you got a playmate” The guy smirked as he walked around Lailah checking her out like a goddamn item for sale.

Caesar remained silent and did not say anything as he stared at Lailah with his distant gaze. She could tell he is angry at what is happening because of her and she sure as well knows death will soon be knocking at her doorstep.

“ Say… should we share her?” the guy asked with a vicious smirk stretched across his face but Caesar doesn’t approve of what he said.

“ Lawrence, aren’t you going to be late for your meeting?” Caesar reminded him and hearing his words, Lawrence chuckled amusingly.

“ As far as I know, you only bring late night stands and that too at a motel rather than your own house.” Lawrence pointed out with thrill at the discovery of the unidentified girl he found and was more than eager to know what her relation is with Caesar.

Caesar's expression turned cold as he stared at Lawrence, his disapproval evident. He had no intention of entertaining Lawrence's insinuations about his personal life.

"Considering the fact that you took her to your house, the guards running after her, and Jessica as well... Isn't that enough to suggest that she means something else rather than a one night stand for you?” Lawrence asked with an equally wicked smirk as he tilted himself from behind Lailah looking straight at Caesar.

Caesar's eyes narrowed further, his voice laced with controlled anger. "You seem to enjoy making baseless assumptions, Lawrence."

He glanced at Lailah who stood like a statue with her eyes widened in fear before looking back at his business partner. "If you have any other business to discuss, I suggest you get to the point."

“ It’s okay, I am getting late for the meeting so I must see myself out then.” He said with a smirk, turning to leave. However, as he reached the door, Lawrence couldn't help but feel a building excitement of what the other person was hiding beneath their controlled anger.

Perhaps there was more to this situation than meets the eye.

"The media is up for some juicy gossip, I suppose." He thought to himself, imagining the headlines that would come out in the near future.
