It was here, the day we leave our pack for the Summit. It's odd really, I've never existed outside of this pack, nor had adventured outside of it, as far back as I could remember anyway. I got a few extra hours in with Seraphine training. Showered, and changed into a a sleek black mini dress with a ruffled lace skirting. I walked inside the hotel room in the company of my mate, Zayden and his mate, and my father. We walked to the hotel desk. I have discovered that this place was most likely owned and operated by shifters as well. We took an elevator upstairs as the warriors packed along our things. Kaine had booked a large suite for the five in our party, and another suite specifically for his warriors. I saw other shifters, in the hallway as we headed to our room. Alphas and Luna's. Some spoke casually with Kaine as if they were on familiar terms. He was polite and spoke to them as if they had been friends for years. The meeting room was filled with different Alphas, most of them male. However, there were a few females situated inside. The seating arrangements consisted of long tables facing a smaller table up front with most of the occupants sitting behind these long tables and facing towards the shorter table at the front of the room. Ulric stood first. "We will now commence the meeting of the Alpha Summit. We will handle small trivial matters first. If you'd like to approach with your concerns, we will address those first. The ride to my father's kingdom was a long one. I spent most of the time looking out of the window and trying to get the sight of so much blood, destruction and death out of my mind. It was hard not to close my eyes and see those girls lying there. I didn't want to admit it, but the situation had me a bit shaken up. Zayden sat in the back seat, continuously fussing over Winter. It's not that I could blame him. There wasn't that much of an age difference between me and my brother. Zayden was actually only a couple of months older than me. "Alright, Valeria. There are three battle formations of a Lycan." Valeria tilted her head to the side, confused. "The first form is mostly what you use now. The usual shifter type. Then there's a second form. A larger wolf that will dwarf the size of a normal shifter. The final form is called the Royal Lycan form. A werebeast. The mixture of humanoid and Wolf. This form is only to be used in dire situations, and hard to control. The duration you spend in the Royal Lycan form can make a difference in battle, that's true. However, it's also unstable, unpredictable, and more feral than a normal Lycan energy can sustain. The human host can completely lose their humanity and find themselves unable to shift back. "What's the death toll?" My father commanded as I entered the War room behind Kaine. There were several people gathered around the large table. Torren looked like he was about to say something when one of the other men spoke up. "A total of thirteen dead from the Alpha Summit. Sixteen from the planned attacks across the different packs prior. A total of Twenty Nine needless deaths. Abel's POV The bitch I had moaning underneath me was doing little to subdue the urges I had burning inside me. I could barely get off with Kamilla anymore. I was truly getting bored with her.
