EVE'S POV:-
I was lying on my bed and was reading one of the books I was given by Master Adrian. He knew I would be alone after he would be gone. So he left me tons of books. I heard a knock on my bedroom door. I sat up and straightened up my clothes. "Come in." I said and the door opened. Ryan stepped into the room and bowed his head in respect.
"My mistress, I have something to take care of. I am going out. Do you need anything? You can tell me." He asked me and I shook my head.
"I don't need anything. Thank you for asking. Just tell me, when will Master Adrian come back home?" I asked him in a hopeful tone. I expected him to come back soon. But he had been away from me for more than a month.

MASTER ADRIAN'S POV:-The cart stopped in front of my palace. One of the drivers stepped out and opened the door of the cart for me. I stepped out with my bags in my hands. I just wanted to go back inside. I wanted to lie on my bed and forget about Lissie. Her tears started to make me feel bad. I was not habitual of that feeling. As I went closer towards the door, I heard a whimper. I looked up and found someone sitting at the door. EVE'S POV:-I was standing on the balcony of Master Adrian's bedroom. He was still in bed. He did not wake up but I wanted to see the sun set. As I was not a vampire, I was able to see the sun. I always liked to sit into the sunlight and enjoy the warmth it offers to every single living being in this world. To be honest, I have ever prayed not to become a vampire. For me, the sun and its warmth was like a gift. Something I had never gotten into my life.I once had heard that a mother's arms were like the warmth of the sun. And the light of the sun belongs to a father. They lighten up the world of their children so they can grow bigger and stay healthy. For me, I did not have a mother who would protect me from cold and did not even have a father who would lighten up my world. But thank God that he had created the sun for people like me. For me, the sun was both my father and my mother.

EVE'S POV:-I buried my face in the crock of his neck and inhaled his masculine scent deeply. It calmed my nerves whenever I am scared or nervous. But if I am blushing or feeling excited, Master Adrian's scent always makes it hard for me to resist him. He had told me that he would not touch me. Not until I would feel the same way for him as he felt for me. I was his mate but I had never felt anything like he had described.Yes, I was attracted to him and I wanted to spend all my life in his arms. But the feeling of being his mate was still missing. EVE'S POV:-I felt someone's hand on my cheek. I slowly opened my eyes and sat up abruptly. I saw myself lying on a bed I did not recognize at all. I looked for the person who was rubbing their hand on my cheek to wake me up. But to my surprise,no one was around. I was all alone in the room I was not able to recognize either.I stood up and jumped off of the bed. I looked out from the window. The garden looked familiar but I did not recognize it at first. It took me a few minutes to recognize that I was looking at the garden of the hell I was raised in. It was my parents' house.It was the room I was never allowed to step in.
