CHAPTER 125

Gemma tore the envelope open, wondering if detainees were allowed to send letters while in prison. Cora had probably greased someone's hands but that didn't matter. She was curious. 

She unfolded the letter not knowing what to look forward to, but what she got was definitely not what she would ever have expected. 

[Dear Gemma, I'm sorry to tell you this on paper when I should be hugging you and throwing parties in your favor to celebrate the good news. Congratulations on finally becoming a mother. I mean it. 

Writing this, I'm picturing myself accompanying you to all the malls in the city to buy baby clothes and toys even before the gender reveal. We would probably go for unisex clothes or you would buy baby boy onesies and I would stick to baby girl onesies. (I honestly don't know whether I hope you have a little prince or princess). I know that I don't have any rights left.
