CHAPTER 124

"She knows better than anyone that what she told you is a lie. How did she even recognize you as our daughter?" Constance asked. She hated Cora for making their daughter misunderstand them. If Gemma had decided to trust her and not ask her family for the truth, that would have caused an unnecessary misunderstanding. 

"I'm not going to let her get away with any of the things she did." William declared. 

"How about we forget all about it?" Gemma held William's hands. "She didn't harm me in the end anyway. And she doesn't plan on doing anything. We can just be wary of her but…" 

"That's not going to happen." William interrupted. Being overly forgiving was like giving someone a bullet to shoot her again, since she missed it the first time. 

When William and Constance left, Gemma looked at Livian worriedly. 

He pulled her off the chair and hugged her.  "It's for the best." 

"They have no idea." She was worried. What
