“Revania,” Argan’s voice sliced through the air, sharp and low. “What is that you’re holding?”

The woman smiled faintly—sweet on the surface, but venomous underneath. She walked forward slowly, as if performing on a stage. The brown folder in her hand swung lightly, drawing every pair of eyes in the tense hospital room.

“I didn’t mean to interrupt,” she said softly, though her gaze glittered with malicious satisfaction. “I just happened to find something I think you should see, Argan.”

Damien narrowed his eyes. “Stop playing games, Revania.”

She laughed quietly, tilting her head. “Oh, Damien. You’re quick to react. Maybe because you already know what I’m about to say?”

Devia took a step forward, her face pale. “Revania, stop this. Don’t make things worse.”

“I’m trying to end the chaos,” Revania said, her tone dripping with false pity. She opened the folder slowly, pulling out several sheets of paper and a few photos. “You know, I’ve always wondered why Devia’s been so protective of Da

“This… doesn’t make sense,” Damien whispered, staring at the laboratory report in his trembling hands. The paper shook slightly between his fingers, the printed words blurring before his eyes. The lab’s analysis confirmed it — traces of a dangerous substance had been found in the vitamins Devia had taken just before the bleeding started.Damien rubbed his face hard, exhaling shakily. His gaze shifted toward the hospital bed where Devia lay unconscious. Her skin was pale, her lips dry and cracked. Beside her, their newborn lay inside the incubator — so tiny, so fragile, but still fighting to live.Rage simmered in his chest, rising from a place he hadn’t touched in years.“I swear, Dev…” he murmured, brushing a strand of hair from her forehead. “I’ll find out who did this to you.”He stood, jaw clenched, and strode out of the room.---In the hospital’s administrative office, Damien confronted the head of pharmacy.“I need the full list of medicines and vitamins delivered to Devia Putr

The hospital room was silent except for the steady beeping of the heart monitor. Pale morning light filtered through the half-drawn curtains, washing the space in an almost holy glow that didn’t match the heaviness in the air. Devia lay weakly against her pillow, her skin drained of color, one hand resting protectively over her bandaged abdomen. She was still fighting the dizziness when the door creaked open.“Devia…”That voice — smooth, too sweet to be sincere.Revania stepped inside, her heels clicking against the tile floor, a bouquet of white lilies cradled in her arms. Her face carried the perfect expression of concern, her tone dripping with false sympathy.“Oh, dear,” she sighed dramatically. “When I heard about your… little accident, I couldn’t just stay away. I had to see you.”Devia’s eyes narrowed slightly. Her body tensed, though she was too weak to move. “You don’t need to pretend, Revania.”Revania placed the flowers neatly on the bedside table, ignoring the edge in Dev

“Damien… my stomach… it hurts—!”The scream shattered the calm of the morning. Devia’s voice echoed through the small house, raw and trembling. She clutched her abdomen, her face pale, sweat pouring down her temples as pain tore through her body like fire. From the kitchen, Damien froze—then his heart dropped.“Devia?” he called, but her answer came only as a muffled cry.He dashed into the living room and found her collapsed on the floor, her body curled, trembling violently. Red. There was red on the floor. Blood.“Devia!” His voice cracked in horror as he knelt beside her. Her hands were shaking, her lips colorless.“It… hurts… Damien… please…” she gasped weakly, tears mixing with sweat.“Oh God—hold on!” Damien’s mind spun into chaos. He lifted her carefully, his hands slick with blood. “Devia, look at me! Stay with me, okay? Don’t close your eyes!”Her head fell against his chest, her breathing short and shallow. “The baby… Damien, the baby—”“Don’t talk! We’re going to the hospi

“Make sure everything goes smoothly. No mistakes.”Revania’s voice was cold and razor-sharp as she stood before the wide glass window of her luxury apartment. Through the reflection, she could see her own face — beautiful, calm, and smiling with a touch of cruelty beneath the amber light of dusk.A man in a black suit stood behind her, head bowed respectfully. “The pharmacist has been taken care of, ma’am. The vitamin bottle ordered by Devia has been replaced with the one you requested.”“Good.” Revania’s gaze shifted toward the skyline turning crimson. “Leave no trace. And make sure the deliveryman wears the official hospital uniform.”“It’s all arranged,” the man replied promptly.Revania turned to face him, her eyes gleaming with wicked delight. “This time, I want to see that ‘perfect mother’ scream because of her own foolishness.”She lifted a glass of red wine, swirling it slowly before taking a sip. “Let’s see how strong your fake love really is, Devia.”---The next morning, th

The faint cry of a newborn filled the sterile white room, slicing through the stillness of dawn. Damien froze for a moment — his heart stuttered, his breath hitched — before a wide, trembling smile spread across his face.“It’s a girl,” the nurse announced softly, handing the small bundle wrapped in pink cloth to Devia.Devia’s eyes, red from tears and exhaustion, widened. Her hands shook as she accepted the baby, pressing her close to her chest. “She’s… she’s perfect,” she whispered. Her voice cracked, but her smile was radiant.Damien leaned over the bed, brushing away strands of Devia’s sweaty hair. “You did it, Dev. You’re incredible,” he said, his voice low and tender.Devia looked up at him, the corners of her lips trembling. “I was so scared, Damien… I thought I wouldn’t make it.”“You’re safe now,” he replied, his thumb gently tracing the back of her hand. “Both of you.”The baby stirred, letting out a soft coo, and Damien’s eyes softened even more. For the first time in years

“Enough, Revania!” Damien’s voice thundered through the hospital corridor, startling everyone nearby. His fists were clenched, his jaw tight. “You’ve gone too far!”Revania blinked innocently, though the smirk curling at the corner of her lips betrayed her satisfaction. “Too far? I only told the truth,” she purred, stepping backward with feigned fragility. “If you can’t handle the facts, that’s not my fault.”“Facts?” Damien snarled. “You forged those papers, didn’t you? You think no one will find out—”Before he could finish, Revania lifted her chin, taunting, “Oh, are you going to hit me now? Go ahead, show them what kind of man you really are.”Her tone was poison wrapped in honey.Damien took a furious step forward, his hand half-raised—until a smaller, trembling hand caught his wrist midair.“Stop.”Devia’s voice was soft but firm, cutting through the tension like a blade.Everyone froze.Devia stood between them, her pale face glistening with unshed tears. Her eyes met Damien’s
