Rachel’s POV

I was in my office, typing away on my laptop when the door slammed open.

I didn’t even have to look up to know who it was.

Victoria.

Her high heels clicked angrily against the floor as she stormed toward my desk.

I kept typing, ignoring her.

“Rachel.” Her voice was sharp, like a knife.

I finally looked up.

Victoria stood in front of me, her face red with anger. Her perfectly styled hair and dress didn’t hide the fury in her eyes.

I smirked knowing very well what brought her here but choose to pretend unaware.

“What do you think you’re doing?” she snapped.

I leaned back in my chair, crossing my arms. “Working. What does it look like?”

She slammed her hands on my desk. “Don’t play dumb with me! Why are you taking your shares away from Andrew’s company? Why are you trying to ruin him? Are you that heartless!?”

I laughed.

A cold, bitter sound.

“Ruin him? He ruined himself. I warned you two, I told you you’d regret ever playing me? Didn’t I?”

Rachel’s POVI walked into the company building, my head held high, I woke up very late thanks to Darius of course, I was still sore but I had an important meeting I couldn’t miss. The weekend had been amazing, we had a lot of bonding time, and everyday Darius never fails to make me love him again. My thoughts come to a halt as I turned to a corner and bumped straight into Victoria. She smirked, her red lips curling like she had been waiting for me. "Well, well. Look who’s here." I clenched my jaw and stepped around her. "Move, Victoria." She grabbed my arm, her nails digging into my skin. "Not so fast, slut." I yanked my arm away, glaring. "What the hell is your problem? What are you doing in my company?” Victoria laughed, cold and mean. "My problem? Oh, Rachel. You really are stupid, aren’t you?" I didn’t answer, I just stared at her, waiting for whatever poison she was about to spill. She pulled out her phone, tapping the screen. Then she shoved it in my face. "Reco

Rachel’s POV It was Saturday morning. The house smelled like vanilla and sugar. Aria stood next to me in the kitchen, her tiny hands covered in flour, she was grinning, her cheeks dusted with white powder, her eyes bright with excitement. I smiled as I watched her. She was so small and resembles Darius in every way. She was like a cute little version of him.She made me wonder how Darius and i’s child would turn out. The thought made me blush, we haven’t spoken about having kids and I wasn’t sure if I was ready for motherhood but these past few days, Aria was changing my perspective. She felt like, mine. Not by blood but by something deeper. By love. "More chocolate chips, Mummy!" Aria said, holding up the bag. My heart stopped. Mummy. She had never called me that before, she always calls me by my name. I swallowed hard, blinking away the tears that threatened to fall. "Aria," I whispered, crouching down to her level. "What did you call me?" She tilted h

Rachel’s POVI woke up sore, the good kind of sore. The kind that made my cheeks burn red when I remembered why I was sore. Darius. Last night, after our fight, it was a make up sex, he was rough yet soft as some point.I felt his anger, possessiveness and love, all in one. He made sure to remark his territory as his.Exclusively His.Even when he was mad at me, his body couldn’t stay away. And I… I didn’t stop him, I missed him. I stretched, my muscles aching in places I’d forgotten could ache. The bed beside me was empty, but the sheets still smelled like him warm and masculine. I smiled, pulling his pillow to my face and breathing in deep. Then I got up. His shirt was on the floor, discarded in last night’s hurry I picked it up and slipped it on, It barely reached my knees, the fabric soft against my skin. My lips spread into a smile as I made my way out of the room. The house was quiet as I walked out of the bedroom, Aria must still be asleep. Defiantly. As I walk

Rachel’s POVI came home early today. I couldn’t focus at work not that I have been focusing these past few days. My mind kept going back to Darius his cold stares, his silence, the way he stopped touching me. It hurt. So I decided to do something about it again. I wasn’t going to back down, what we’ve built couldn’t just go down the drain.I decorated the dining room with soft candles. I cooked his favorite food spicy lamb stew with the bread he loves. I even wore the red dress he got for me which I was suppose to wear the day he had asked me for dinner and I cancelled meeting up with Andrew.Fuck! I really did mess up.Then I waited. And waited. And waited. Midnight came, that’s when his car finally pulled into the driveway. I heard the engine shut off, the door open and close then his footsteps heavy, tired. My heart pounded as the front door unlocked. Darius walked in, his tie loose, his hair messy like he’d been running his hands through it all day. He looked

  • Ex Husband’s Regret: He Wants Me Back   46. Cold Shoulder.

Rachel’s POV It had been a week. A whole week since I met Andrew in the park. A whole week since Darius stopped looking at me or talking to me. He wasn’t yelling. He wasn’t even ignoring me not really. He still spoke when necessary. Still came home every night. Still sat at the dinner table with me and Aria. But it wasn’t the same. His eyes didn’t warm up when he saw me anymore. His touches were gone no more brushing my hand when he passed by, no more pulling me close when we slept. It was killing me. And Andrew wasn’t helping. His messages kept coming "Rachel, we need to talk” "Please, just hear me out” “Don’t do this to me." I blocked him. Then he called from a different number. I blocked that too. But the damage was done. The cold shoulder was killing me and I didn’t like it. He doesn’t even give me room to speak to him. I missed him. I made a mistake one which I regret but I didn’t deserve the silent treatment at least not any
