Mr. Stenly's men immediately came down and stood around Mr. Stanley and Madame Lauren.

Leon stared intently at the men. "Attack them!" Leon shouted while throwing the arrow in his hand to the ground.

Leon's men immediately came forward and attacked Mr. Stanley and his men.

While Leon at this time immediately lost his balance and almost fell but was immediately caught by Venus.

Venus' eyes widened when she saw the arrow stuck in Leon's back. "You really don't make sense," Venus said while carrying Leon to leave the tomb area.

Two hours passed by, and now Venus was standing inside Leon's room and watching the doctor who was treating Leon's wound.

After finishing bandaging the wound on Leon's back, Diego gave the rest of the tools he used to his assistant, who had been standing next to him.

Diego then removed the mask from his face and looked at Venus."You must have understood that the wound should not be exposed to water for a while," Doctor Diego said while looking at Venus calmly.

"Okay, I understand this," replied Venus, who had met Diego before, because Venus had been hospitalized and met Diego.

Then Diego looked back at Leon. "One more thing: this man doesn't like to be touched by women, so you are most likely the one who will be responsible for taking care of him," he said calmly.

Instantly Venus opened her eyes wider than before. "Me," she muttered.

Leon immediately turned to Venus. "Why are you so surprised to hear this? Don't you want to take responsibility? I'm the one who saved your life," he said curtly.

Immediately Venus turned to look at Leon. "I'm just surprised; it's a natural human reaction," she said and then looked back at Doctor Diego.

Then Doctor Diego cleared his throat. "Well, Mrs. Venus, would you do me the favor of fetching Leon's usual medication?"

Venus furrowed her brow. 'Is he pretending not to know who I am?' she thought, because the news about him rejecting Alan should have just spread. So Doctor Diego should also be able to guess that she didn't know Leon well.

Venus then smiled awkwardly. "I'm sorry, doctor, but I don't—"

"You can pick up the medicines in my office," Leon interrupted Venus.

Then Leon looked at one of his men who had been standing not far from the bed. "Remi, take Mistress Venus to the study!"

Leon's subordinate immediately nodded his head as he said, "Yes sir, I will."

Then he walked quickly towards Venus, who was currently still staring at Leon."Madam, let me take you to the master's study," he said politely.

Venus then nodded her head and walked after Remi, leaving the room.

While at this time Doctor Diego returned his gaze to Leon."So she's the woman you said was the unlucky one?"

"Don't be a nag," Leon said in a cold tone.

Doctor Diego let out a long sigh. "I don't need to tell you who she is because you know her better than I do. As for her nature, I won't comment because she's a good woman, but you should know the risks you'll run if you do get together with her."

Leon, who was buttoning up his shirt, suddenly raised his head and gave Doctor Diego a sharp look. "So you underestimate me?"

"I'm not underestimating you, but I think all your plans would be easier if you weren't with that woman," Doctor Diego replied as he turned to look at his assistant to avoid making eye contact with Leon, as he always felt uneasy when he saw the anger in Leon's eyes.

"She's the woman I want, so I won't let her go," Leon said in a firm tone.

Then Doctor Diego could only sigh once more. "Well, if she's the only woman you want, I'd rather support you than have no partner at all for the rest of your life."

Leon was silent as he buttoned up his clothes when he heard Doctor Diego's words.

"Besides, she doesn't have a partner right now, so if you become her partner, it wouldn't be against the law," Doctor Diego said. "If you need anything else, you can tell me."

"Of course," Leon said in a calm tone.

Doctor Diego adjusted his glasses and walked out of the room with his assistant.Meanwhile, Leon, who had finished buttoning his shirt, turned to his cell phone and looked at the news that had been circulating today about Venus and Alan.

He zoomed in on the photo of Venus rejecting Alan and then rubbed the photo of Venus' face with his thumb in a gentle motion."I'm turning things around; this is the path you have to go through to get back to the right storyline. If it wasn't for them deceiving us, then all these years you wouldn't have gotten that far from me," he said with a small smile.

Clack! Suddenly the door to the room opened again.

Leon immediately turned his head towards the entrance of his room.

"Where's Doctor Diego?" asked Venus, who had just walked into the room carrying a packet of medicine. She looked around the room like a confused person.

"He's gone," Leon replied calmly as he locked his cell phone and put it back on the nightstand.

Helen, who heard Leon's answer, immediately looked back at Leon, and then she walked quickly towards Leon.

Leon, who saw that, immediately frowned. 'Why does she have such a strange expression?" he thought when he saw the annoyed expression on Venus' face.

"What's wrong?" Leon asked while slightly raising his head to see Venus' face when she was standing right in front of him.

"What is this medicine?" Venus asked as she held up a medium-sized plastic bag containing various medicines.

Leon then shifted his gaze towards the clear plastic wrapping his medicines. "That medicine," he said while frowning.

"Yes, what is this medicine? Why are you taking these medicines?" Venus asked again while continuing to look into Leon's eyes.
