Chapter 3:The Deal

I have been restless ever since Lucas sent me those pictures, I still cannot believe that he has a woman who's about to give birth to his child and his parents do not even know about it, like….when did this happen I don't even understand, 

I’ve been trying to digest the information but the more I try the harder it is for me to believe. I paced around my room thinking without any good answer I made up my mind that I’m going to visit Lucas in his office, I need to talk to him one-on-one and he has a lot of explanation to do because he can't just send me the picture of a pregnant lady when our wedding is already fixed and it's in few days, he can't do that to me.

I took one of my car keys and left my room, I met my parents in the living room

“Becky darling, where are you going?” Mum asked making me stop

“I need to see Lucas mom, I’m coming back soon” 

“Alright darling” Mum smiled and Dad patted her shoulder. I left the mansion and walked straight to the car. I entered and drove off immediately. My thoughts were going far and wide. I really love Lucas. I don't know why all of this is happening, it's making me lose my mind already.

I got to their Empire and packed my car before coming down, this is not the first time I’m stepping my feet into the Douglass Empire but damn! This place is one of a kind, and it's not even the only business they own, it's like one of the chains of businesses that they own, and they all keep getting better every fucking time.

I made my way straight to Lucas' office, I took the elevator which will stop at his office which is on the last floor and it's the only office on that floor. The elevator beeped and opened, I made my way out of the elevator to Lucas office, on getting to his office, THE CEO was boldly inscribed on the top part of the gold-colored door, 

I took a deep breath and was about to knock when I realized the door was a little bit open, I still wanted to knock to make my presence known but then I started hearing voices, 

“You really want to pay me ten thousand dollars just to act like you're the father of my child”

“Yes I can pay you that and even more”

“Why do you hate your fiance so much, you can just cancel the wedding instead of going through all this?”

“That’s none of your business, are you accepting the deal or not?”

“Of course yes, as long as you're willing to pay me”

At this point tears were streaming down my eyes, now I know he intentionally kissed that girl at the party, he's ready to go this length just to get rid of me even if it means paying someone to disguise himself as the father of another man’s baby.

“I will send you the money asap” I heard Lucas voice

“Of course, it's nice doing business with you

I pushed the door open in anger and they were both shocked to see me

“Becky, what are you doing here?”

“Really Lucas? You're willing to pay another lady to act as the mother of your child just so you can get rid of me”

“How long have you been listening?” He growled, I scoff 

“That’s all you have to say, you can't even apologize?” 

“I guess I’ll take my leave,” The pregnant lady said and made to leave

“And you…!” I called making her stop

“Refund that money now!”

“But……”

“Now…….or you get ready to face the court cause I’m going to charge you for fraud and impersonation, you know what the consequences are….don't you”

“Sure….why not” She stuttered with shaky hands and typed on her phone, a beeped sound came from Lucas phone

“Done ma” 

“Now leave and don't let me see your face again”

“Thank you ma” She bowed and left in a hurry like her panties were on fire,

“Becky, what is the meaning of what you just did?” 

“Do you have anything to say to me before I leave?” 

“Leave where?”

“Your parents of course, they must know what you tried to do today, and you know what that can cost you, your father might dethrone your position as the CEO, since you want to get rid of me so much, I can do the same right?”

He walked toward me towering all over me, 

“Don’t dare me, Becky…!”

“Ohh really? Watch me” I smiled and made to leave when he suddenly grabbed my arm

“What do you want?”

“It’s simple, let’s get married”

“And if I refuse?”

I smiled and made my way to the door, I pulled the doorknob and was about to leave 

“Deal Accepted, and get ready to face hell in that marriage”
