“Becky come downstairs, we are going to be late for the party!” 

“I’m coming mother, I’m almost ready” I yelled from my room taking one last look at myself in the mirror. I was good to go. I took my silver handbag which I laid on the bed and left my room. Being the only child of multi-millionaire parents means that I always attend every business party with my parents. They like introducing me to their business partners all over the world, be it in or outside the country.

I’m more excited about today’s party because I’m going to be meeting my long-time crush, Lucas Douglass, the heir to a multi-billion dollar Empire. I fell in love with Lucas the first day my parents took me to a business party, and since then I have been stalking Lucas both on social media and in real life. Lucas is so beautifully made, he's everything I have always wanted in a man, he's tall, handsome with his dark long hair and seducing green eyes, damn! Just thinking about him got me so excited already.

Lucas' parents are close friends with mine, and I couldn't be happier when they decided to set up a marriage for Lucas and me. They said it will help strengthen the relationship between the two families and also help the two companies to become stronger and undefeated. I was so happy when my parents broke the news to me yesterday night, I almost screamed out my lungs out of excitement, and today I can't wait to meet Lucas, cause finally out of the whole ladies that have been swinging around his I*, he's finally going to be mine, I can't wait to hold his hand and screamed out to the whole world, that’s my man.

Gosh! It feels so good to know that out of billions of girls out there, Lucas will be mine, thinking about it makes my head swell up and that's why I’m so excited to go to tonight’s party, my husband-to-be is going to be there. Ever since I started stalking his page he has never noticed me or even reply to any of my comments, at first I thought it's because of my nickname but when I changed to my family name he still ignored my comments, I hope that this time he looks my way, I swear it's going to be the best day of my life.

I got downstairs and met mom and dad already in the car waiting for me. We are going to be driving my father’s latest 2024 Porsche truck to the party tonight. 

“Mom, dad I’m here”

“Get in darling we are almost late,” My dad said typing on his phone, I got into the car, and the driver drove off. 

“Honey, how do you feel about the party? Are you excited to meet Lucas?” Mom asked, of course they know about my crazy obsession with Lucas

“Of course mom, I’m literally excited and cannot wait to meet him”

“Sweetheart you know all we are doing is for you to be happy right?” Dad asked

“Hmm, thank you, dad, thank you mom for making my wish come true, I really love Lucas and I’m so happy you guys supported me, this marriage wouldn't have set up if not for you guys”

“Of course sweetheart we want you to always get what you want, and besides the marriage will help both families so a win is a win”

“That's right,” Mom added as we all laughed happily. I kept glancing at my wristwatch every fucking second, I won't lie that I’m a little bit anxious, thinking about Lucas reaction, will he be happy to see me? Is he happy that he's about the set up marriage by our parents? All of these are making my heart beat so fast, 

We finally got to the venue, the whole place was filled with paparazzi even though it was a night party, though the whole place is as clear as the sky cause sparkling lights were all over the place, our guards rushed to open the door for us and I waited for my parents to come down before doing so, I walked in the middle while my parents were right beside me with our guards walking behind us, 

Flashes of cameras kept coming from every angle, as soon as we walked into the big hall where the party is taking place, my eyes was all over the place, I kept searching for Lucas, while I walked with my parents greeting their business partners as they also introduce me to new ones,

I suddenly sighted Lucas, he was standing gloriously looking as handsome as ever, my heart skipped on seeing him, my whole body yearned for him, I watched him sip his wine smoothly with his left hand tucked into his pant pocket while he held the wine with the right hand, he was putting on a black tuxedo, looking ravishing as usual

“Why are you just staring, go to him” Someone whispered to my ear, I turned to see my mom grinning at me,

“You think so?” I asked with raised brows unsure of it

“Of course trust me” Mom assured, I gave her a warm smile as she walked back to talking with dad, 

“Okay you can do this” I said to myself breathing in and out, 

I saw a waiter approaching with a tray of wine, I took a glass of wine from him and started walking towards Lucas, he saw me coming as our eyes glued on each other, I increased my pace in excitement, I was getting close, when he suddenly wrapped his hand around the lady next to him and slammed his lips on hers

I froze on my step as the wine glass fell from my hand and shattered into pieces.
