"Yes," Mr Davis agreed, "She was the one who took Annabel out years back."

"And I believe she can do it again," Michelle said as a matter of fact, "We have to get the company back!"

Mr Davis nodded and said after a moment of silence, "I have no idea how to reach Vivian."

"I have done that already," Michelle told him, "She is on her way here."

True to Michelle's words, Vivian soon arrived. Mr Davis was up on his feet with a remorseful look on his face but Vivian did not spare him a glance.

"Why did you want me here, Mich?" she said with a straight face, "We could have spoken at a restaurant or somewhere else? I really did not want to step my foot in this mansion ever again."

Michelle went to her and held her hands, "I'm glad you did. Look, Aunt we are in serious danger."

"I guessed so," Vivian said, "You sounded like someone came back from the dead over the phone."

"Someone did come back from the dead." Michelle confirmed.

Vivian stared at her, "What do you mean?"

Annabel's POVIt was getting late, not to mention the fact that it was snowing heavily outside. The wind howled furiously and even the fireside did little to keep me warm.I looked through the verandah many times but there was no sign of Myron. Earlier, we were supposed to pick the kids from school but he said he had urgent work and vanished suddenly. It's been five hours yet he was not back. A part of me could not help but wonder if he is with Michelle. After all, the news of her divorce from Scott was published this morning and it took Myron by utter surprise, he failed to hide it.What was most surprising was the fact that I felt nothing thinking that my husband could be with Michelle at the moment. I did not feel betrayed, nor do I feel bad.A few minutes later, the automatic door screeched slowly and Myron stepped in, lightly covered in snow. He had a solemn expression around him.If I had not gotten on my feet, he would not have noticed me.“Mich-” he paused. “Annabel, it's you

Michelle's POV He placed me gently into the car, got into it and slammed his lips against mine. His hands found my thighs, sneaking under my dress.I couldn't stop myself. I wanted to push him away, to tell him to just accept me and stop playing games with me but more than that, I feared I'd push him away. I feared that I wouldn't find any man who would handle me so carefully and gently yet unable to get enough of me, like him.I dug my nails into his full hair and deepened the kiss. He groaned into my lips, his skin providing warmth as opposed to the raging snow outside. He detached from the kiss, leaving me breathless. I could not keep my hands to myself. I did not want to wait another second to have him inside of me, filling every part of my soul.He began to undress me slowly, while I bit my lower lip impatiently. He narrowed his eyes and licked his lips, “You're so stubborn, Mich. I told you to stop doing that.”He dove towards my chest, his lips finding my nipples that were alr

Michelle's POV “I don't ever want to see you near her again.” Myron said with no disguised anger. I held his arm softly and whispered, “What do you think you're doing? How could you-” He turned to me sharply, “Go and wait for me in the car. You have no idea the kind of man he is.” But I refused to leave. The atmosphere was already tense, leaving will cause the men to jump on each other and I could not afford that. Chris chuckled, “Who the fuck is he, Mich? Is he your husband?” “He-” “The next time I see you with her, you'll be forced to know who I am and trust me, it is usually not a good thing.” Chris stepped forward, “Cut the act, man. You don't intimidate me. Perhaps, you don't know who you're messing with. How dare you dictate who I should and should not be with.” Myron did not say another word. Instead, he moved to grab Chris’ neck. I came between them immediately, causing Myron to step back. “Please, people are watching. I don't want to be in the headlines as the cause

Michelle's POV Looking up, I recognized the face of Christopher Simpson. He smiled.“Michelle Crofwell, it has been so long, I almost do not recognize you.”I forced a smile, “I don't believe we've crossed paths since college.”He nodded, “You're right.”“Thank you for helping out last night.” I said.He chuckled, “You do not remember the events, do you?”I froze, “I hope I did not-”He gave me his arm, “Let's talk about it over some snacks, I'll also like to know how you've been faring.”I declined with an unconvincing smile, “I am busy, Mr Simpson. I have a lot to do since my father's demise.”“Oh, please do away with the formality, Mich. We are friends.” He added, “Nevermind the company for now. We can include that in our discussion.”“I-” He took my hand and placed it on his arm, “C’mon!” I sighed in my heart as I followed him into the car. He gave the driver an address, all the while his hand entwined with mine. I knew that Justicia was right in her suggestions but it would be

Michelle's POV I woke up with a serious headache settling in. Whether it was caused of my fantasizing of Myron in my dreams or the alcohol I downed after the gala, I had no idea. The door to my room dashed open. I was too weak to even see who it was but the voice was recognizable.“Ma’am, I knew you'd wake up this way,” Justicia was saying as she came and stopped beside the bed with a tray of hot soup in her hands. “So I already had this prepared to help ease the aches.”I smiled as I massaged my temples, “I am grateful to have you, Justicia.”She helped me to it and I took the soup at once. Not long after did the impact begin to set in. I could see Justicia clearly now and the world seemed to make more sense that it did few minutes ago.Looking around, I recognized the room. It was my room. My father's house. I did not remember coming here.“Justicia?”“Yes ma’am?” She answered while setting the room in order.“How did I get back here last night?” I asked, while struggling to recall

Annabel's POV Myron rasped, “Annabel, I can explain.” I stared at him, hoping to lash out and say the most hurtful words but nothing came. In fact, I felt nothing looking at him. I did not feel betrayed or hurt.It made me think back on how he'd told me that we were so very much in love before the accident, how he said London was our home and that we were here for a visit.“It..it must be the alcohol, I promise you.” Myron was saying, “We both had no idea what we were doing.”My gaze fell on Michelle. It was then the pain crept silently into my heart. She was supposed to be my sister, to protect me. It was hard to understand why she would lay with my husband after taking the first one from me.I shook my head and walked out. Myron quickly put his clothes on and chased after me.“Stop following me,” I warned but he caught up to me easily at the verandah.“Annabel, please.”“Please what? You have feelings for her.”“I don't. I do not love her-”“Don't deny it, Myron. I know what I saw
