"Okay!" I nodded seriously. "Are you going back to Jelaston now?"

"Yes, seeing for myself that you're okay will make me feel at ease."

"Jack, you don't have to..."

He responded lightly, "Can’t I be concerned about a friend?"

I sighed in relief, smiling gratefully, and said nothing more.

"Call me anytime if you need anything."
