After collecting the cake, I headed straight to pick up William from school. I made sure to clean my face and be ready for my son to avoid questions. William is so caring that he shows that he has understood a lot even at a young age.

Even though I tried to betray myself and be present for him my mind continued to create bombers that I was about to hear when I reached Bella’s place.

I set my foot on the gas pedal, trying to speed up to cover the time space. In a moment, I could feel William's gaze turning to me, staring at my unusual behavior. I pressed the pedal once again and released it, causing more speed to be applied to it.

“Mom, mom,” his voice called low, the worries deepened into it. “You're driving too fast,” he exclaimed, searching for an answer in my face.

I was desperate to meet up because I wanted to make sure I reached Bella's place as soon as possible.

Soon after about 5 minutes, I drove to a stop when I reached Bella's place.

The sound of the door opening behind me made me turn slowly. My breath caught. My chest tightened until I could barely breathe.Henry stood there. Inside my house.Noah’s footsteps followed from the hallway, his voice deep and confused. “Why are you…”The rest of his words died as his gaze shifted from me to the man standing behind me.The air fell into a heavy silence, thick enough to choke on.“What…” Noah frowned, his voice trembling as his eyes fell on Henry. He swallowed hard, confusion written all over his face.I couldn’t speak. I couldn’t even move. My heart raced in panic, my stomach twisting as my mind ran wild with questions. Why is he here? Has he come to tell Noah? To ruin everything I have worked for?For a moment, no one spoke. The silence crawled beneath my skin. Then I forced myself to turn fully toward Henry. His expression was cold and unreadable, yet something about the way his eyes locked on me made my heart pound harder.“Henry,” I said, my voice low and shaky. “

  • Ex-wife Revenge    Chapter 41: The night of reckoning

It was already past seven in the evening by the time I finished work. I almost went to meet Mia, the address she sent still sitting in my messages, but I could not bring myself to go. The fear of seeing her face, of hearing her accuse me of sleeping with her husband, pressed guilt into my chest like a stone. So instead of meeting her, I chose to meet him at the hotel by eight. The road was chaos. Horns blared endlessly while the red tail lights stretched like a glowing chain through the traffic. My headache pulsed in rhythm with the sound. I gripped the steering wheel tighter, whispering under my breath for the cars to move faster. After a long, heavy drive that felt like forever, I finally pulled into the hotel parking lot. My pulse quickened as I checked my phone. 7:57 p.m. I hated being late.I stumbled out, fixing my jacket tightly around me. The hotel’s warm air brushed against my skin as I stepped inside, my heels clicking on the marble floor with every step. I tried to move qui

The moment I darted out of Henry’s office, my heels hit the marble floor like a gavel pounding on everything wrong in my life. Each click echoed through the hall — judgment, regret, chaos.By the time I reached the parking lot, my breath was ragged, my pulse wild. I slammed the car door shut and leaned back against the seat, staring at my trembling hands on the wheel. How did I end up here? How could Noah be so broke, so careless with all the money he took from me and the loans? Where is all the damn money going? The engine hummed to life. I pressed the gas, the tunnel lights streaking past my windshield like falling stars. Then — her car.Mia.My chest seized. The sight of her sleek white Audi made my throat tighten.I froze, fingers trembling as I rolled my window up.She was right there, and I couldn’t bring myself to face her. Our cars passed, metal sliding past metal, and for a moment I swear she paused, maybe even looked back. My pulse roared in my ears as I sped out of the tun

  • Ex-wife Revenge    Chapter 39: He saw me

Dawn crept through the curtains when I collapsed on the couch — the scent of hotel sheets still clinging to my skin. Regret pressed down on me, heavy and sour, but not strong enough to erase the memory of his hands.Fuck. I slept with my friend’s husband — my husband’s friend. There isn’t a word filthy enough for what I’ve become in the name of revenge. The regret came in waves, but it never drowned me. Because this wasn’t on me — it was Noah’s doing. He broke us first. If he hadn't cheated on me and mentioned that I'm no longer desirable, I wouldn't have done that, would I? And it won't repeat itself. All I need now is information about his account and then set the divorce in motion.During the course of my sleep on the couch, my eyes opened to see Noah holding my phone. His gaze was staring at me as if he had noticed something. But I didn't even give a damn about his thoughts since I only did what he had done. I only took a glance and then fell back to sleep. The moment I arrived

At a point, a part of me wanted to turn back but the other overcame it. I stood in front of room 407, my hands scratching the card like the way the pain is eating me up. I glance at the lobby, checking if anyone was noticing me. It was all empty. No movement, only me, just Emma. I swallowed hard and leaned forward, scanning the pass card and the pad light green. I press the doorknob and swing the door open. His eyes darted as he saw me at the entrance. My jaw dropped the moment our gaze met. I remain close to the door, a flicker of guilt washing through me. But the next thing I know, my black dress has fallen to my knees, and I am naked except for my heel sandals. My nipples are painfully erect as he looks at me. His blue eyes take their sweet time ravaging my body.Fuck. He hasn't even touched me yet, but I'm already so wet. I step out of my dress, pulling off my heel sandal, and walk towards him. Before I could think, his lips came crashing down on mine. A soft moan escaped me

I headed inside and washed up, trying to scrub away the heaviness sitting in my chest. Then I slipped into the black outfit — the one that clung to my hips and traced every curve I once believed could make Noah stay.I dusted my skin with Cledbel powder, fixed my lashes, and sprayed myself with perfume — too much of it. I wanted to drown in the scent of someone who still mattered. It took thirty minutes to become the woman I used to be. The woman Noah once desired. Before leaving, my gaze drifted to the lipstick I’d bought weeks ago. I thought everything was about the shade didn't wear, so I got one hoping to catch his attention again. It hadn’t worked, but maybe tonight, it did need to.I picked it up and glided the color across my lips, a trembling breath escaping me as I stared at my reflection.I was beautiful. Still beautiful. And yet, I’d been cheated on — told I was no longer enough. That my beauty had faded like old perfume.A sharp exhale broke through me. I straightened, gr
