Chapter 23

ASHER’S POV

All night, I tried my best to sleep, but I couldn’t . It's the early hours of the night now and I still can’t sleep. I arise and sit on the bed. I stare straight without having a particular thing I’m staring at.

The imagery of the dark giant wolf that devoured three of my pack members keeps flashing in my head. The more it happens, the more enraged I get. I constrict my fist tightly and grind my teeth. My body is shaking ferally and my eyes are not flickering.

The dark eerie night makes me ponder more on this. I stand up from the bed and walk to the window opening. I hurl the curtains away from it and place my gaze outside. I just look at the steamy weather. I cannot be weak and be humiliated. I don’t even know anyone who possibly might have the guts and intention to do this. I know the Silver moon pack has numerous enemies who would do anything for my downfall but I can’t pinpoint who exactly.

I really need to do something about this before it gets even worse. Just in tw
