Janaki's POV
I couldn't believe that Vidhu declined dinner with Prabhu mama. We are always very welcoming to spend time with him. But we're not in a mood to dine out with him today. Because we very well knew he is going to share his first date experience with us.
We tried to tell our parents about Nandhini's attitude, but my amma asked us to keep our mouth shut as this decision is to be made by Prabhu mama. And so far my amma too convinced that she will be a good daughter-in-law.
If he was not happy with the date, he might want to spend the time alone to think about it. But he is calling us to join him, which obviously means he is happy about it.
Luckily, Vidhu being already angry about Nandhini's behaviour, easily avoided the dinner by reasoning our studies. Anyway, our inter exams are due in three months. We have a LOT to study.
Next month we have three sets of model exams. And later the month is for our revision. Vidhu is good with theory subjec
Janaki's POVI kept our door open and sat on my bed, waited for Vidhu. I was actually very hungry from all the drama. She paused a second on the opened door and looked at me shocked. She instantly masked her face with a smile."Hey Janu, I thought you will stay little longer with them. Shruthy(classmate) called me to accompany her for shopping. So I went with her as I thought I would spend some time relaxing. When did you come? Why didn't you call me?"She spoke everything even before I ask her anything. She kept the bag on the shelf and took the towel to get freshen up but waited for my reply. Why can't you just tell me what you are doing Vidhu? I sighed."Just now I came ma. I think we missed our dinner time at the hostel. Come. Let's go and get something to eat. I am super hungry."I stood up but she was having shocking expression and.. Guilty. I guess. But why?"What Vidhu?" I asked suspiciously."Actually I already
Prabhu's POVI never expected Nandhini would be such an amazing woman. We went to three dates so far. She behaved very nicely and I think she is the one. It's so easy to hang out with her like a friend. I like that fact. She had the patience to listen to me while I speak about my family, which is actually a lot. If she has the patience to listen, then she would be flexible for the family. Her dressing style is so modern but her character is so good to pinpoint that as a flaw in her. Also, she told that she has to wear highly modern dresses like a walking advertisement for her boutique. We spoke about her friends. She has a big group of friends and she told me that she has to behave very friendly to everyone, it would indirectly benefit her business. She told me about the important business meetings held on Saturday evenings.I got a call from her. I was so happily speaking with her until I heard the irritating continuous ringing of the doorbell sou
Hi friends, This chapter would contain a recap of previous chapters in Nandhini's perception.Happy reading!Nandhini's POVI have been racking my brain since I returned to Chennai after meeting Prabhu's family at Kancheepuram because I am stuck in this situation, which I never wanted.Marriage!Who the hell introduced those idiotic practices in this world?Ufff....!My father strictly told me to obey whatever his father says and he threatened me to change my attitude to avoid unnecessary consequences.Since when he starts to control me? He must be kidding. I will find one way or another to demolish their dream castle. They didn't know what I am capable yet.My thoughts interrupted by the sound of my phone ringing. I attended the call and answered formally as my caller ID has shown an unknown number."Hello Nandhini here"After a few seconds of silence, I got the reply."Hi Nandhini, This is Prabhu.
Janaki's POVOh my dear God!Why me?I have been trying to solve this problem for the past 45 minutes. Every time I am successfully getting the wrong answers, which I could not relate to the solutions given in the book in any possible way.The worst part is I couldn't understand the steps given in the book to solve the problem and my professor taught me a method, which is totally different from the institute study material.Great right! I know!God! I don't even want my worst enemy to face a situation like this.Totally irritating!Maybe a little break can do.Uhoooo lalala..I switched on the electric kettle, we had in our room to heat the milk to prepare some coffee. We bought the milk on our way back to the hostel from our coaching centre. Recently we are in need of more caffeine to our system to cope up with our lengthy schedule.Vidhu decided to stay late in the night to finish her revision schedule. N
Janaki's POVI couldn't place any of my emotions in a place.'First, get out of here Janu!'My mind snapped at me. I quickly grabbed Vidhu's hand and dragged her out. They were so busy to notice someone else is in the same room. Ewwww... I must forget this scene!God, I'm forever going to be haunted by nightmares. As you all expect, it is Sanjeev and Nandhini. They were all sucking their faces and... in a very awkward position.. No... God, please help me by erasing those memories from my mind.Vidhu still didn't recover from that. I saw Prabhu mama coming towards us or may be coming this way to use the restroom behind us. Hell NO!How will he react?Maybe I should just let him go and learn about her true face. But what if he takes the whole thing in a very wrong way and makes himself suffer. He had been so happy with her earlier.No.. No.. No.. This can't happen now. He deserves happiness... But he also deserves t
Janaki's POVGod! That Nandhini proved herself an evil and cunning woman. She knows how to trap a person, most precisely she knows to make my life hell.'A man will tolerate the anger of his loved one for the mistakes done by him. But he could not endure if the person shed tears because of his mistakes. Because it will implant deep guilt in his heart and the sadness of that person will affect him extremely.'Nandhini knew this fact very well. Because she used her TEARS as a weapon. But to my worse, she, herself apologized at him for her sudden disappearance. She might think that he will be angry for her sudden disappearance. That's why she is oblivious about when we left. She should have presumed that we waited for her and left after a long time angrily. Also being his phone dead, she might have come to the conclusion that Prabhu mama is angry with her and that is the reason, he is trying to avoid her. This lead to multiple apologizes and blabberin
Prabhu's POVIn the past few weeks, so many things had happened. I still couldn't see Nandhini's face without feeling guilty. I am wondering whether am I ready for this marriage. I couldn't even take care of her at a small party. How am I going to take care of her in my whole life? After that incident, I have been spending lots of my time with her. That makes me feel better. Above all, I couldn't be normal with Janu. I am glad she apologized to Nandhini even though she clearly not at all wanted to do it, but did it by the pressure from our parents.I knew my parents are doing this so that I would not have any negative feelings towards her as she is already being punished by them. But they didn't understand that I would never have negative feelings for my family, particularly for her. Maybe I would be angry towards them for some time, but nothing more than that.To my relief, Nandhini didn't exaggerate this issue. I thought this was going to be a big probl
Janaki's POVFinally... FINALLY, our exams were over... Yaaawoooooo... Me and Vidhu planned to spend this night in our hostel terrace. It's a little bit cold as it is November end but we love to look at the twinkling stars and the half moon without any concerns. Like a mother carrying a baby for nine months, we have lived with books. And FINALLY, our nine months 'thavam' (penance) had come to an end.Our stargazing got interrupted by my amma's phone call. I turned on the speaker so we both can talk."Hi amma" "Hi athai"We sang as we are in a very great mood."Hey Vidhu! Janu! Eppa kelambringa? Nalaiku packing mudichitingana appa maru naal ungala kootitu vandirvar ma. Okay thane?"(Hey Vidhu! Janu! When are you starting? I will send your appa day after tomorrow if you guys finish packing by t
