Mom told me that everybody was fine,"I'm so glad you're okay, and so is Ethan," Mother said with a warm smile. "Now go and take a bath so you can look clean and refreshed."

I nodded and returned to my room. Walking over to the window, I tried to make sense of everything that had happened. Did Damon really come to see me? But why? Why on earth would he do that? I wondered, completely confused.

My gaze drifted down to the ground beneath my window. How did he get up here? Did he actually climb... or can he fly? The thought seemed unbelievable, yet somehow it felt possible.

I let out a slow sigh. Just then, Hannah entered my room, as she always did.

"Your Majesty, I've come to help you get ready."

"Okay," I replied, my mind still lost in thought.

"Is everything all right?" Hannah asked with concern.

"Oh... yes."

I gathered my gown and made my way to the bathing room. As I soaked in the warm water, Hannah quietly assisted me, though I could tell she kept stealing worried glances in my direction. She was probably wondering what was troubling me.

I forced a small smile, and Hannah smiled back. It was for the best that she didn't know what was going through my mind.

After my bath, Hannah helped me get dressed and carefully prepared me for the day, making sure I looked presentable. Hannah helped me get dressed and finished preparing me for the day.

As usual, I went to the dining hall. I didn't utter a word. I had already decided not to say anything until Dad suddenly spoke.

"We found two dead bodies on the street."

"What?" My eyes widened as Dad continued.

"One was the body of a priest, and the other was his brother."

Everyone was shocked. There was no need to question who had done it. Everyone had already concluded that it was King Damon.

"If only we could catch him in broad daylight, because he is far too strong at night," Dad said, clenching his fist before slamming it onto the table.

"Your Highness!" Mom shouted in alarm.

Dad stood up and left the dining hall, and Mom quickly followed after him.

Ethan sat there in silence.

I followed him to his room

"Who could do such a thing? I'm sure it was the monster I dreamed about."

"Don't say that, Ethan. There is no monster," I told him.

To take his mind off it, I took him to the archery range.

The Master-at-Arms handed us wooden practice swords. Ethan raised his sword against me, and I immediately blocked his attack with mine. Without hesitation, he swung the sword in his left hand toward my leg, but I quickly kicked it away before it could hit me.

I'm becoming stronger, I thought. I need to be strong enough to protect my kingdom, especially against enemies... and monsters like Damon.

As I was lost in thought, I suddenly felt a hit on my shoulder.

"Ethan!" I exclaimed. "That was painful."

A small laugh escaped my lips. Even little Ethan's hit hurt. Looks like he's been preparing, I thought.

We both laughed and spent the rest of the day walking through the gardens before visiting other parts of the palace.

Soon, night fell. Ethan always went to bed early, so I followed him to his chamber. When we got there, I decided I wanted to sleep beside him. I didn't want to sleep in my own chamber tonight. I'd rather stay with my little brother.

I returned to my room, changed into my nightclothes, and headed back to Ethan's chamber. The room was peaceful. I lay beside him, reading one of his favorite novels. Before I knew it, my eyes grew heavy, and I drifted off to sleep.

Suddenly, I felt a cold hand on my body.

I jolted awake.

It was Damon.

I quickly turned toward Ethan's bed, but he wasn't there.

A cold smile spread across Damon's lips.

"Are you surprised?" he asked. "I've come to take you with me. You'll love it in my palace."

He slowly raised his hand, showing me the palm of it. To my shock, I could see a magnificent palace and an entire kingdom within it.

How did he do that?

Damon grabbed my arms tightly and dragged me along. "You can't escape from an Alpha like me," he growled.Just as he was about to take me away, I let out a loud scream. I jerked awake, breathing heavily. My heart pounded against my chest as I looked around my room. It was only a dream... a nightmare about Damon. The sound of my scream had startled Ethan awake. He immediately sat up and stared at me with worried eyes. "Was it a nightmare?" he asked softly. "Yes," I replied, forcing a small smile. "Let's go back to sleep." I gently tucked him back into bed until he closed his eyes again. Once I was sure he was asleep, I lay down as well, though it took me a while before sleep finally claimed me. The next morning, I decided to spend some time at the beach. I wanted to clear my mind and forget everything that had happened. The cool ocean breeze and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore were exactly what I needed. I swam for a while before returning to where I h

Oh my goodness... The devil himself is standing right in front of me. The thought echoed through my mind as terror gripped my heart. So the rumors were true.Damon was real. And he was standing only a few steps away from me. I swallowed hard, forcing myself to meet his eyes. "Have you come to destroy our kingdom?" I asked, my voice trembling despite my attempt to sound brave. For a brief moment, Damon remained silent. Then he slowly shook his head. "No." His expression darkened. "But if anyone stands in my way..." he said coldly, "...I won't hesitate to kill them." A chill ran down my spine. He took another slow step toward me. "Three high priests from this kingdom took part in the murder of my parents." His voice was calm, but the hatred behind his words was unmistakable. "I've come to claim the justice they stole from me." I stared at him, unable to speak. For the first time, I didn't see a monster. I saw a man carrying years of pain. Still...

After hearing everything we had witnessed, Dad immediately left the throne room with several of his advisers and guards. When he returned, the expression on his face told me all I needed to know. Whatever he had seen had not pleased him. Just then, another familiar figure entered the throne room. It was King Roland of Veloria. His face was unusually serious. He exchanged a brief greeting with Dad before the two kings stepped aside to speak in hushed voices. Neither Victoria nor I could hear what they were discussing, but judging by their expressions, it wasn't good news. A moment later, King Roland turned toward us. "Victoria," he called. "We must leave at once." Victoria looked confused. "So soon, Papa?" "Yes. There's no time to waste. Prepare yourself. We're returning to Veloria immediately." She glanced at me apologetically before giving me a quick hug. "I'll visit again soon." "I'll be waiting," I replied with a smile. Within minutes, Victoria and King

After finishing our wine, Victoria smiled and stretched her arms. "It's such a beautiful day," she said. "Why don't we take a walk outside?" "I'd love that," I replied with a smile. Together, we left the palace and wandered through the royal gardens before making our way into the lively streets of Aurelia. Merchants called out to customers, children laughed as they played, and the pleasant aroma of freshly baked bread filled the air. For a brief moment, I forgot about the terrifying events of two nights ago. "I didn't even tell Dad I was leaving," I said with a soft laugh. Victoria looked at me and chuckled. "You still tell your father before going anywhere?" "Of course," I answered. "Dad worries about me." "You're lucky." The smile on her face slowly disappeared. "My Papa doesn't even care whether I leave the palace or not. Sometimes, I don't think he even notices I'm gone." I looked at her with concern. "What do you mean?" She lowered her gaze as we con

  • FALLING INLOVE WITH THE EVIL ALPHA   Chapter 3:A Visit From Veloria

The following morning, I sat quietly before my vanity while Hannah carefully brushed my long hair. Hannah was far more than a maid to me. She was like the sister I had never had, someone close to my own age whom I had grown up with. Years ago, her parents had died in a tragic accident, leaving her with no family to care for her. With nowhere else to go, she was forced to beg on the streets. By fate, my mother, Queen Elena, happened to see the young girl one afternoon. Unable to leave an innocent child to suffer, she brought Hannah to the palace, where she was raised alongside the royal servants. Although Mother never treated her as a servant, Hannah insisted on helping the palace maids out of gratitude for the kindness she had received. Her loyalty and gentle heart earned the respect of everyone in the palace. Just then, a gentle knock sounded at my door. "May I come in, Princess Lisa?" A smile immediately spread across my face. "I know that voice! Come in." The do
