Chapter 36

Anna's POV.

Time really had seasons, and some of those seasons were short and exhausting.

After the drama-filled meeting with the elders, I hurried out, but the elders feigned a jovial act around me. They trooped around me to engage in fake discussions with me.

I hated it!

Fake acts always found a way to irk me faster than a leech, and their stiff, wide smiles did quite the magic. I managed to free myself from their presence with the help of Marcus.

I never knew Gabriel had it in mind to take DNA test results of Andrew. He made me feel a sense of relief. I may have not been wanted in his pack, but my pups were his.

Tests or no tests.

Blair packed her bags in tears and shame. The maids whispered about her cruelty around the pack house. If Gabriel didn't torture her in a cell, the obscene rumours about her were sure to throw blades at her.

She didn't even want to touch Andrew. The same lady who advertised Andrew like a commercial, seethed at his sight when her plans f

  • FATED HEIR    The Alpha's Decree.

Chapter 35Gabriel's POV. “She is in chains,” “Look at her, she must have cried herself a river,” “My goodness,” The mutters rose into a loud chatter as soon as I stopped talking. Anna adjusted her sitting posture and stared at Blair with curious intensity. She exchanged glances between the elders and I, her eyes widening with each passing second. “Alpha, if I may speak,” an elder called Marek raised his hands. “Don't you think it is ruthless to have the mother of your child in chains.” He suggested. “I mean, look at her. What if your son were to walk in here and see her in this condition,” Some elders nodded their heads in support and some muttered, but with hesitation. Well, I blinked for a second and raised my brows. “Blair, if you would like to tell us who the father of Andrew is, I would very much appreciate it,” I said with a menacing calmness. She jerked like she had been bitten and gulped emptily. “What are you talking about?” she fidgeted, her voice stuttering as s

  • FATED HEIR    Meeting Of Elders And Traitors

Chapter 34. Gabriel's POV. The next morning had a cloudy veil to it. A dark cloud covered the sun from peeking its light down to the earth. Anna went silent after she witnessed Blair taken to the palace and made to sit in an empty room. She had no clue why I did that, but she was about to find out. After taking a deep breath of the fresh air morning breeze, I kissed her in her cheeks and whispered in her ears to dress up and meet me in the throne room. She nodded in silence and yawned herself back to sleep. It might have been an act, but I did not want to force her to do anything, especially after what Blair had nearly caused her. Fully prepared for the morning, I stepped out of the room and headed towards my throne room. I had only sat for a minute when Marcus peered his head in and bowed. He closed the door behind him after stepping him in fully. “Should I usher them in, Alpha?” He questioned. From his tone, I could detect a slight anger that he tried to suppress. It had a

  • FATED HEIR    Back In The Nick Of Time.

Chapter 33Gabriel's POV. My first day leaving Anna alone in the palace got me restless. I had a feeling that something was going to go wrong. Everything reminded me of her down to the clouds. Even when they cancelled the meeting for Alphas due to a territory attack on another notable Alpha's pack. I could have gone back immediately, but I had a secret I wanted to unravel. I wanted to make sure the truth wasn't actually a lie I was pressured into believing.I had everything I needed to take a test. If I was going to father a child, I needed to be sure I was prepared to make him an heir. The reports I wanted quickly surfaced, and even though I had an itch that something was wrong, I hated the fact that I was right. The test results were the total opposite to the claims she made. I felt used again. I was furious to return without letting anyone know. I resolved to make public her lies, and throw her out of my pack house along with everyone who would dare to support her. She was

Chapter 32. Anna's POV. “Blair, whatever this is, you gotta stop. You have taken it too far,” I stepped forward, my expression void of fear. She rolled her eyes in resentment, and snapped her fingers. “You still think I'm bluffing?” She retorted. The muscled men closed in like they had rehearsed their steps. They had a death stare to their eyes, and a stone cold look. For a second, my heart throbbed violently, my knees trembled and my throat turned dry. What was this? What was about to happen? The men were a mixture of strangers, seemingly rogues and a few of our guards; traitors. I looked towards the right and noticed that the man I asked to alert the others was also among the squad. “I knew it!” I exclaimed in anger, turning to his direction. “I knew there was something wrong when you lied about alerting the others,” He looked away, breaking eye contact with me. I could feel the spite in his expression, coupled with a look of humiliation. Probably, he was embarrassed that h

  • FATED HEIR    Time Is Up, Anna

Chapter 31Anna's POV. With my wolf's swift ability, it was only a matter of time before I caught up to Maya. I growled at the shadow to stop but it continued running as though desperate to set me off his trail. Or reach a certain terrain in the woods. I failed to pinpoint his objective. Already, we were in the thickest part of the woods where it was dark, and even the moonlight couldn't penetrate through the broad shades of the tree, yet he didn't stop to fight. Tired of chasing aimlessly, I pounced on him. I grabbed his right arm with my claws, and we tumbled down for a while, but I quickly stood on my limbs, watching the figure transform into its wolf. With a sniff of the air, I could tell the man was a guard in the pack house, usually situated at the hallway towards the store room. What the hell was he doing kidnapping Maya? I asked myself. Maya swiftly ran behind me, panicking and trying to free her arms out of the ropes they bound her with. The guard was a threat to my
