Chapter 9

Anna's POV.

No, no, it couldn't be, it just can't. What did he mean by ‘ending me’? I asked myself.

It had to be a joke, maybe an unconscious bluff, a blank statement or something else. My heart pounded against my chest, my ears echoed with muffled gasps all around me and my eyes circled in its sockets.

I glanced at the lady beside me with a sideways look. Were they going to ‘keep me’ just like her? Make me their fun game whenever they felt frisky? Or was he talking about leaving me for dead?

I was scared and perplexed.

The man stood up, adjusting his sleeves and covering a tatted skull on his right palm with his gloves.

“Get her up,” he commanded two of his minions.

They sprung into action, grabbing me by the shoulders and my elbows. “Let go of me, you freaks. Unhand me,” I screamed, struggling to slip out of their grasp.

They lifted me into the air, waiting to take orders from their boss.

“What are we going to do with her, master?” they asked.

Chapter 14Gabriel's POV. The elders turned quiet the moment I called for silence. Whatever they had to say stayed stuck in their throats without a sound. I took Anna's hands and walked out of the room as the whispers turned into a full on chatter behind us. As the door clasped shut, Anna faked a silent cough and smiled at me. “You didn't need to do that,” she muttered. “I needed to that. Everyone needs to know you are who I want to be with…” I paused before I could say anything further.“I'm happy you did that but it might end up causing a scandal for you,” she replied. “A scandal?” I asked. “Only celebrities have scandal,” I said as a joke but it came out flat, causing Anna to furrow her brows in confusion. “You know what I mean,” she softly said. “Which is?” I tried to act clueless. “I meant to say you don't want your elders to think you… um, you know… the…” she stuttered. “We don't need to talk about it all the time,” I interrupted her with a gentle nod. “I think I can be

  • FATED HEIR    Luna Of The Sage Moon Pack

Chapter 13.Anna's POV I thought the door was going to squeak as I pushed it open, but it slowly caved with a silent clasp. My footsteps were the only thing that echoed in the air. As the shadows of the door unveiled their faces, I quickly took a glimpse of Gabriel's cold look. It was stern, disgusted and almost furious. Okay, maybe I was in trouble, maybe our contract didn't give me grounds to be lurking around where I wasn't supposed to. “It's me,” I whispered but my voice could barely cut through the air. As I lifted my head to take a second look at Alpha Gabriel, his cold look glitched into something warm and mild. Something like a faint smile, too light to notice. Whispers erupted from both ends of the hall as I advanced forward, keeping my eyes straight at Gabriel. Their eyes narrowed at me and their lips parted to chatter about my looks to their neighbors. The hairs on my skin stood straight and my ears perked up to pick up any voices I could hear. It was horrible even th

  • FATED HEIR    Inside The Palace Halls

Chapter 12Anna's POV. I was back at Sage Moon pack, safe and sound. Everything was fine, my abduction seemed to make me even closer to Alpha Gabriel. I told myself I wasn't in love but the mind link I felt had other things to say. The way I felt his paws pouncing on the earth, his veins stretching and his limbs moving at a great speed. Everything reeled in like a recliner. I constantly dreamed about the way he carried me in his arms, his muscles flexing on my body. The vision was blurry but the memory was the clearest I had of that day. “Good morning, ma,” a soft voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I slowly turned towards the voice, my brows arched in curiosity. It was the lady that sat beside me in the dark cave. She was dressed up in a maid's uniform and she looked the happiest I had ever seen her. A wide smile etched on her face as she made a curtsy. “Oh, it's you.” I exclaimed. “How have you been doing?” I asked her. “Wonderful, ma'am.” She replied, chuckling at me. “Hon

  • FATED HEIR    We Were All Wrong.

Chapter 11Gabriel's POV. Anna laid unconscious after hours of bringing her back. The thought of the massacre still lingered in my head and there was no way I could make it disappear. She made me wonder how much power her curse had been withholding because fighting the Darkskull rogues meant possessing a great deal of power. Was her wolf so powerful? Why place a curse on her? I wondered. Her fingers twitched and I found myself leaning closer to check if she was about to open her eyes. She didn't, but it was great to see her moving a muscle. “It's alright,” I mumbled, standing up to leave. The door squeaked open and Marcus stepped right in, glancing at Anna before bowing his head to me. “I have done everything, Alpha,” he said, his voice deep and low. “Everyone has been returned to their packs?” I questioned. “Yeah… everyone,” he said with much hesitation. I arched my brow at his reply, waiting for him to give a certain answer. “You don't sound so sure,” I pointed out. “Um…

  • FATED HEIR    A Gory Sight To Take In

Chapter 10. Gabriel's POV. Racing deep into the woods, and following the faint trace of her smell that lingered in the air, I could feel Anna closer to my reach. I could hear the faint crackle of her bones, the deep, heavy breaths she took. Everything, I could feel them like they were mine. “We are getting closer,” I muttered, howling at the few wolves racing behind me. As our speed increased, so did my hunger for payback. The Darkskull were going to wish they had never crossed me. A few meters away from the dark, secluded cave, we heard a growl, loud, deep and intimidating. It was troubling. I couldn't help but think of the worst that could have happened. ‘Anna’ Was she okay? What was going on? Have they found out we were coming? These questions raced past my head as I ran towards the cave. “I'm coming to get you, hold on,” I muttered, trying to assure myself. Nothing was going to stop me. I was sure of it, the blood in my veins pumped with determination, my limbs mo
