Chapter One: The Day My Dreams Died

Isabella POV 

Today was the day that my boyfriend, Alpha Cassian, would propose to me and crown me as Luna in front of the pack council.

He had sent a letter to me the day before promising a grand ceremony and people from all walks of life were invited to witness the occasion.

I felt on top of the world, as many envied me because it was a rare opportunity to be crowned Luna of Alpha Cassian, who was every lady's dream.

Today was the happiest day of my life which was also the beginning of our fruitful years ahead.

All of a sudden, the doors jolted open, and the Alpha's brother, Casper, walked inside. His scent was strong and alluring, his steps were calculating, and his cold stare was fixed on me, who was busy with my makeup.

I turned to the door and saw Casper standing before me glaring at me.

My breath hitched causing me to quiver in fear.

Silence swept between us.

Casper was one of the unmated werewolves in the pack and there had been disheartening rumours about him abusing minors for his own advantage.

“So you are the bitch that wants to marry my brother “ he sneers, his words piercing me like sharp needles. I swallowed hard before finally lifting my eyes to look at him.

“ What are you doing here?”I stepped closer, placing my makeup brush on the table, my heart racing, my face twisting with disgust.

Martin had always disliked me from the first day I was brought here by Alpha Zachary after their father had saved me in the woods, but believed I was a spy. 

“ I just thought of giving my sister in law a grand visit before she officially becomes the Luna of Blue Lake pack. His eyes were narrow, which emitted a dark aura.

My eyes widened as I opened my mouth in shock.

“ Visit me? Hope it's not that you are trying to spin your sob stories around “I asked, rolling my emerald eyes to look at him.

“ Why do you think of me this way? I knew I was repulsive back then, and I forgave my actions, “ he lowered his head.

“ Is this a dream? “ I wiped my ears and eyes, hoping what I had witnessed was a reality, not my own imagination.

“ I have come to humble myself before you so it's right that I amend my mistakes, “ he added.

Cheers to a new beginning, “ he said sweetly, his tone and temper were calm, slowly taking away my worries.

“ Thank you,” I appreciated his kind words, which soothed my hardened heart.

There was a peaceful expression in his eyes that left me speechless.

Has he finally decided to come around? That was the question burning on my lips.

Before I could say anything else, he matched forward, taking dangerous steps towards me, dragging my hair roughly, and shoving me against the glass wall.

He smirked at me.

“ What are you doing?”

I gasped in shock as I found him nibbling on my ear dangerously close to me.

“ Become mine and you shall have all you ever wished for,” Casper said in a husky tone.

Stay back, don't come any closer Casper,” I warned.

Is that any way to treat your future brother-in-law, especially one with such a big present for you?" He smirked, unzipping his pants.

I stumbled back, terror flashing across my eyes, but I held back, arms tight. I couldn't let him win, not when I'm so close to getting my happy ever after. I had to get out of here.

He grabbed my hair in fistfuls, pain erupted in every strand, and I screamed, "Let me go! Please..." I choked tears dripping down my face, "Please--"

Shut up bitch! He growled slamming my head against the wall,

“ Stop this instant, I am your Luna, your brother's mate,” I ordered, but he didn't seem to care.

He raised his hand caressing my face softly, his hand brushing against my cheeks.

Casper glanced at me and there was a familiar look in his eyes, the one that meant he was going to punish his enemies severely.

His face darkened, and he gritted his teeth.

My chest tightened with dread knotting in my tummy like the unknown was about to happen.

“ Have you gone nuts? I am your brother's wife,” I said, trying to resist his advances, screaming at the top of my voice, but no one came.

“You are dripping wet down there,” he whispered.

My heart pounded as he leaned against me, his hot breath on my neck burning through my skin.

“ I have yearned for your silky legs for so long “ his eyes glowed with an insatiable desire.

He maintained his tenacious growl, sliding his hand on my thigh and fondling my breasts as my breathing was unsteady in the difficult position I was in.

His lips went over my ear and his hand slid lower, brushing over my clitoris softly.

Then his mouth lowered to my clit. At first, all he did was breathe against me until his lips kissed my clit hard, rolling his tongue over me endlessly.

He wanted to strip me naked, but in the next second, I dug my teeth into his flesh, his blood tasting on my lips.

“ How dare you? “ he let out a tenacious growl, his hand connecting to my cheeks faintly imprinted on it.

“ Stop this, you are insane. “Tears blinded my eyes, but he brazenly enjoyed my cries.

My head throbbed in pain as I tried to resist, but his reflexes were stronger than mine, brushing his fingers on my pink lips.

It's only if I am dead that you can marry Cassian, “ he smirked. 

I could see the danger that was hidden in his soft tone. My heart started breathing hard.

His tone was flat dripping with venom. My arms trembled, unable to withstand the tension buzzing in the room.

My face turned pale.

“ You can only belong to me, no one else. “He tilted my head, his right hand curled into a claw as he sank his claws deeper into my flesh, blood dripping on the floor.

He slams my head against the edge of the wall with a sickening thud.

“ Argh, please stop“ Pain explodes through my body, and a whimper escapes from my lips, with blood clots trickling down my forehead, which is glossy and thick.

The moment he said that, I felt a sharp pain in my chest, choking on the air in my lungs, causing my chest to tighten.

“ Wake up, Accalia, “ I grabbed my chin, trying to summon my wolf, which had been sleeping for over a decade.

“ Lend me your power, we must fight back,” I spoke telepathically, gathering all my inner strength as he pressed his grip against me firmly.

Argh, “ I broke free from his grip, my fingers elongated, my eyes turned red as an irresistible force took over, and my hands climbed slowly to his throat.

“ How are you this powerful?” his voice cracked, breaking down completely, my hands raising slightly, approaching a timid kitten.

His stomach drops with ice flooding through his veins.

“Please don't kill me, I will do whatever you want “ he spoke faintly.

“ Whatever? Too bad it's already late,” I chuckled. The sound struck him hard on the spot, startling him like a stone, and he unconsciously wet his pants to the core.

“ That's disgusting.” My gaze landed on the floor with the yellowish substance dripping, hitting the floor like raindrops.

The smell was nauseous, holding my breath not to infect myself with this rotten animal everyone regarded as a person.

“ You know what this means right? “ I stated cutting him short. 

My lips curved into a sinister smile showing off my teeth like a ferocious tiger.

A lump formed in his throat, his tone a breathless whisper .

He never expected this, because I had never shown off my powers in the pack, and everyone believed I was just an omega.

“Whoa “I let out an enraged roar which echoed in the building, the room echoed with a lightning that thundered in the building as if there was some sort of natural disaster.

The room spinned around, the walls broke apart, my claw ripping his throat, sinking in despair.

I dug my claws into his jawline, and each shot tore through his humanity, ripping him into shreds.

I bit on his neck devouring him, breaking his ribs into pieces and bones apart with blood splattering all over my wedding dress.
