FATE LED US TOGETHER AGAIN

AVERY'S POV

I quickly mop the floor. It's my last chore for the day before I go have my rest. I have been here in the pack for a few weeks now. It's not that bad.

Being a maid here includes a lot of stress but I can cope. Having to clean a castle as big as this can be strenuous. However, it's more enjoyable than my house. The pack has a serenity I love. It is also a large castle.

Infact, the more I stay here, the more I don't miss home. This place has become a home for me in just a few weeks. I miss my father. My anger towards him had waned when I realised how truly he was helpless in this situation.

The fields and the horses marvel me. The werewolves live in unity. I love their culture and their way of life even though some are strange to me. What baffles me is why my kingdom is after the werewolves, why they choose to hunt them, even when they live in unity and look harmless.

I snap out of my thoughts. "Remember that you were sent here as a spy!" My subconscious mind remind me and I blink my eyes. I continue cleaning the chairs.

Someone tickles me from behind, and even if I have not turn back to check who it is, I already know who. I turn back to glare at him. How many times must I ward him off me? Elias has proved to be a clog in my wheel since I got here.

Wondering who the jerk is? Well, Elias is said to be the first son of the alpha of this pack, though I haven't seen the second prince since I got here, it was said that he's always indoor. I wonder how he manages to do that. Back to the jerk standing before me now. Elias have been a thorn in my flesh ever since I got here, but too bad that I hated him at first sight.

"Greetings, my prince," I drawled with disinterest. The only reason why I haven't punched his face yet, is because he's a prince. Else, I would've shown him the stuff I'm made of.

"How are you?" He smiles at me but I turn to my gaze away from him.

"I'm fine," I force a smile at him in pure disgust.

"Meet me later in my chamber," He said and with that, he walk away while I glare at his back. And who says that I'm going to go see him later? Not me! I rather get punished by him later, than to go see him.

Can't I have a peaceful day without Elias making advances towards me? I wonder. Everywhere I go, he lurks in the corners.

I remember when he tried to scare me last week. I was frightened to the bone. My face went pale and I glared at him. It hurts that I can't give him what he deserves. Who want to be killed for disrespecting the prince? Definitely not Avery! I'm too young to die.

I finish off my chores and go drop the dusting rag with excitement brewing in me. I am happy because it is time for me to tour the castle again.

I walk to the back of the castle while wandering. A slightly open door catches my attention.

"What's down there?" My curiosity draws me close. I've never been there before. I look around me to make sure no one's watching, then I summon courage and walk towards it. After all a spy must know the enemy's surroundings.

When I get to the door, I open it. It leads me to an open garden. 'Wow!' I'm surprised. This place looks so beautiful. I always thought I had seen it all in the castle but this garden here, filled with a lot of beautiful flowers proved me wrong.

This castle keeps on presenting itself in different beautiful dimensions and I keep on loving it. 'Oh my God!' I catch my breath at the hewn flowers.

I move closer to a set of freesia flowers. The fragrance beckons unto me. I inhale the scent with my nostrils and feel its smoothness on my palms.

Just then I notice a waterfall. There's a waterfall here too! I'm so happy. There's something about water that I like.

I run towards it throwing caution to the wind. I remove my slippers and enter the water. The cold feel of the water on my legs calms my nerves.

"This isn't enough for me," I say inwardly , leaving the water to remove my clothes. Maybe, I can have my bath here and rest in the water for some time. When I unzip, I notice something.

There is a movement in the water. It's as if there's something creating a bubble in it. Who is there? I wonder what's causing a ripple in the water current, so I wait to watch what is going to happen next.

A man suddenly pops out of the water, with his back facing me and I bet he look so hot that my breath stop for seconds.

"Why does he look familiar to me?" I wonder. It's as if I've met him somewhere before. I can't confirm because his back is facing me. I move closer to take a close look at him. Who is this?

He has a perfect body build and beautiful skin. This must be the prince who had been hiding himself in his room for some reason best known to him alone, but I can't conclude yet, since I haven't seen his face. I need to be sure of this, so I can give them updates back at home.

He rakes his hands through his hair. That movement seems familiar to me! Is he the same man as weeks before? The water guy? I don't think so. I always thought the water guy was from another castle and that I would never meet him again. It can't be him, I conclude. All I need him to do for a confirmation is to turn towards me.

When he turns towards me to come out of the water, my gaze goes from his well fitted packs. I gape at his figure like a moonstruck person. He is so perfect. How can a man be this handsome?

My eyes go to his built chest, his sexy lips and those eyes! It's like I've seen him before

Oh my God! He is the very one! The water guy is here before me in flesh and blood. My insides are dancing at this discovery. I never thought I would see him again.

I open my mouth to greet him but he beats me to it.

He looks at me in awe. "You again?!"...

THE LITTLE BOY The nightcrawlers surrounded the eldest of the nightcrawlers inside their cave. They waited for him to speak up because they are all aware that he would have known about what is going on currently in the forest and with the confessors. "You all expect me to say something about what is going on currently in the confessor's city?" The nightcrawler asked. They all shook their heads and went their way. Deep down they were all scared. What really happened during those times? The nightcrawler sighed and glared at one who didn't want to leave. "What are you waiting for young one?" He didn't speak, yet he continued staring at the nightcrawler. He sniffed the air and at once the old nightcrawler knew something was disturbing him. "Talk young one. I won't sacrifice you." He assured. "The baby ---" "I know. I'm also thinking about what to do here. The baby must not live." "The baby is hours old now. Nothing can kill him as we speak. What about that sword, Elder Dylan?" It ha

HE IS REBORN."We will regret this. It is not about the question if we would. We didn't - No - You should have listened when I said we should go forward and search for her." Theresa, one of the midwives - also one of the greatest confessors that ever lived lamented. She sat down on the chair as she entered the room and others followed behind. "I know it is risky." The eldest of the midwives said and continued. "But, we all know that it is just written in the books and we have not seen for ourselves what great calamity would befall us. Maybe the people who came together to write this book see how powerful he is and would not want anyone to wield that kind of power again. Thus, tagging him bad from birth.""I would not say otherwise, but it is written for a reason. If it was never a threat to us all, I don't think they would have agreed to write the book.""Then they should have explained the consequences of leaving that child alive. No stories, only warnings. And if it had happened bef

THE BIRTH SYNDROMEIt feels a lot weird when you know you have a super power inside of you. Humans and supernatural beings bend to your will, and there is absolutely nothing they can do about it. It is incredible, but it comes with a disadvantage."Erhmm, Nicholas, can you help me with the cup of water on the table please?" Avery asked."I'm very busy currently, there are a lot of letters I need to write back to Blessingstoke and —" a stolen glare toward Avery kept him mute halfway. "Don't you dare use that on me, Avery." Nicholas stood slowly.Avery laughed and kept on laughing. "I'm not using it on you. See my baby bump, I don't want to move right now." She said amidst laughing.Avery is eight months pregnant. The midwives told her to get into care immediately, but she was adamant. When anyone tries to force her to leave for the care room, she would try to use her powers on them. Thus, they all backed off at one point in time. They heard a knock on the door. Nicholas was holding the

BETRAYAL AND LOYALTY"We are home!" Philippa, a young lady about Avery's height and age yelled as she entered the castle.
