“Bella” the name always had a way of flowing through her lips. They would usually respond with a quirky comment such as “a beautiful name for a beautiful girl.” She had gotten used to it so much so that she had a signature smile to follow suit; she was beautiful, and she knew it. That was something she always took advantage of. “All men are the same," she would always say.

But the man that she had her eyes on tonight begged to differ. He was different, his gaze commanded the truth, his eyes were like a clock for hypnosis, the longer you stared, the more lost you felt, his body was like that of a Roman commander that had gone for war more times than one could count, she could not decipher if it was because of the shirt that hugged his muscles so well that it seemed they would pop if he moved.

Or maybe it was the way his grey orbs shone so beautifully under the club light, or was it the way he sat so casually but had an aura that screamed “royalty”; but, there was something about him that she knew would be her doom. She tentatively took long seductive strides towards him. While the sound of the ever blasting music continued to fade behind her, she kept her eyes on him with each step, drawing her closer to him.

He stared back at her, undeniably impressed by what he saw, only when she had gotten to his table did she break eye contact. Although other girls were there in their numbers, none dared to touch him. She did not have intentions of doing so either. She had somehow gotten the attention of the other men around this stranger. They all looked cooperative with their all black suits but at the same time looked dangerous.

She stopped her mind from wandering and went to the task at hand, turning around and slowly going down to touch her knees, she got whistling sounds from the thirsty men in the club, she smirked, she had understood the language of these men and when necessary knew to communicate with them through her body, swaying her hips slowly and seductively.

She turned back around, and as expected, his eyes were still on her.

She could not tell what he was thinking. He was not like the other men whom she would easily read their emotions through. Audaciously, she moved round the table and stood right in front of him, a wrong move she told herself because once she had gotten closer she perceived his panty dropping cologne, it was expensive, inviting, and addictive just like him. His face looked even more beautiful close up.

She could not deny it. He was a very handsome man, his chiselled face, and plump lips made her picture unholy things. Bella sat on the table, dropping her legs to his sides, to cage him, but she knew that it was not her legs that did that. It was her. Those muscles were the kind that would fling her across the room if they wanted. He stared at her, his eyes tracing every curve of her body. She let her hands wander.

She followed his gaze, from her hair to her neck, all the way down to her knees. Readjusting to squat on the table, she turned back around and did one of the many things she learnt in the club. She twerked, and she let her ass jiggle in his face as the applause increased. When she turned back around she was faced with a shocking sight, the stranger had stood up, she expected him to try to touch her.

But he did something she would have never imagined, he walked out. He walked out of the table and the club without giving her a second glance, she was beyond shocked because never in her three years of being a stripper had any man ever walked out on her. A feisty one, she thought. Another skill she had was how to keep the show going. She moved back on stage and continued to dance.

She danced until the music stopped and the stage lights went off. The two minutes walk to her dressing room gave her enough time to process what had happened, she didn't realize there was a smile on her face; although she should feel embarrassed and should probably stay away, why did he intrigue her? Why did it make her crave him even more? “Hey best friend” someone squealed.

“Angel” she thought, she had gotten used to that voice and had gotten tired of reminding the girl that they were not best friends. Her plan anyway to make Bella repeat it so much she would get tired of doing so. She turned to the direction of the squeal and gave a subtle nod to the guard to let her in, “you see me everyday come into Bella's dressing room and you still decide to make me wait for approval before letting me in!” Angel said.

That made Bella smile, she knew the guards had a strict rule, no matter how often they saw a face, the stripper always had to give consent before they could come in. That protocol had undeniably saved them so many times. Angel knew that, but would still make a fuss every single time, the name did suit her

… Angel. She had beautiful blonde silver dyed hair, her eyes were a perfect kind of big, with beautiful blue orbs.

If one looked close they would see thin lines of silver. With the name, she had a signature piece, it was white lingerie, it made her glow in the club lights. Bella stared at her beautiful figure while she walked towards her, “hello gorgeous”, she said while hugging her, Bella responded with a tap on the back, she seemed to have wanted to say something but she was being called up on stage. “I will be back,” she began to speak.

“Then you can tell me what everyone is whispering about “The Bella” being rejected,” Angel said as she used air quotes for my name.

Cam assured her that they would get to the bottom of it when they were in a more private area, but until then, they had to act like they were aware of the changes when they were in front of Diane. A few hours went by, and it was time for them to leave, “I will see you tomorrow, D. Be fine, okay?” Mia said to her sister as she kissed her forehead goodbye. Diane nodded in response as she smiled at Mia and wished them good luck on their new job. Mia and Cam walked into the restaurant feeling very impressed by what they were seeing. Mia took her phone out and followed the directions that Alexander had sent to her. She slowly led them down a secret flight of stairs and they finally arrived at an open space that had a door at the left. It looked like a parking lot but there were no cars parked in it. When they got in, they were escorted by a guard who seemed to have been anticipating their arrival and were led to an office. On their way there, they noticed how organised the place w

  • FAULTED Destinies   CHAPTER 19- THE PART WHERE THERE IS A SECRET HELPER

The girls spent the rest of the night in fear and anticipation. They had expected their doors to burst open at anytime with Big Pa and his men, but it never came and the next day, they found themselves asleep and holding unto each other's arm on the couch in their living room. The phone rang, making them jolt up from their sleep. Mia hurriedly looked at the time on her phone, still not answering the call and realised that they had been running late. “Shoot!” Mia yelled as she shot up from the bed in a frenzy, she tried to run into the room and get ready but by the time her eyes landed on the wall clock above her bed, she knew that they would not make it in time for their next class. She let her shoulders fall as she sluggishly made her way back to the living room. Cam was still sat in place, “I tried to tell you. But I figured that you would figure it out yourself,” she said. Mia frowned at her and took a seat beside her. “Oh, I think you got a text after your call,” she said.

  • FAULTED Destinies   CHAPTER 18- MY BIG BAD ALPHA MATE

Big Pa gulped and nodded his head. He could not say anything. His voice would give away how much fear he held in his heart. He had sighted the mafia tag on the bodies of the men who placed the money on his table. His eyes were wide in fear. He wondered how he had gotten himself messed up because of those two girls. “What did those sluts do to have the heads of the greatest mafia showing themselves to a small strip club owner like me? They fucked you guys good? We could discuss this and find a way to sell them off to you. We could be allies and not foes.” he said. They were already leaving when he made the statement, and without second thoughts, Alexander took out his knife and launched it straight for his ear. The knife sliced right through, leaving his ear hanging on a nerve to his head. He held his ear in agony and he groaned in pain. They walked away, leaving one of them to care for him. They did not want him dead yet. He knew that Mia was a smart girl, if she found out that Bi

Alexander did not just leave Mia to think about his offer because he knew that she would accept it. He knew that the only thing that would stand in between him getting closer to his mate was that man, Big Pa, and he had to make sure that he did not bother Mia and her friend when they would call it quits. He and Angelo went into his club later that day, earlier than when the men who came for dancers usually arrived, and they headed straight for his office. The two brothers had not gotten over the disrespect that they experienced when they went to him the last time. But out of respect for the mafia rules, they still went to him instead of bringing him to them. One last chance, they were going to give him one last chance to be sensible, or whatever happened after that would be on him. They walked into his office, with the door making a loud noise at the impact with the wall. They barged into the office, and this time, they came calculated. They got access to the records, and t

  • FAULTED Destinies   CHAPTER 16- THE PART WHERE HE GIVES HER TIME TO THINK

Alexander explained the details of the job he was offering her… it had the same work hours as her usual job, but the schedule was more flexible as she could choose the days she wanted to work. Mia thought about how it would feel to not dance for every single day. He told her about her dress code, it was not going to be the scanty dresses that she wore at her old club, it was still skimpy she would be a lot more covered up than she ever was in that place. She was not going to be offering private dances to any customer no matter what and hearing that, Mia had already accepted the terms in her heart. But she let him continue. The icing on the cake was when he spoke about her pay. It was ten times more than her old pay and suddenly Mia felt a little suspicious. “These are multi billionaires, men and women around the world who have no idea what to do with their money anymore. It is for the one percent of the one percent. It is beyond exclusive” he began to say. “They do not mind paying

  • FAULTED Destinies   CHAPTER 15- THE PART WHERE SHE MEETS HIM IN HIS RESTAURANT.

Mia sat at the edge of the bed in her little sister's hospital room and nervously tapped her fingers on the bed. Diane had noticed the familiar habit and decided to enquire, hoping that Mia would see her as someone who she could confide in and not just her baby sister. “Is everything alright, Mia?” Diaje asked, her voice still hoarse from all the months of not speaking. Mia immediately stopped the movement with her hand and turned to Diane, "Yes, of course. I am fine,” she said with a small smile. The smile was not genuine and everyone in the room including Mia knew it. Diane pouted at her sister's denial. “I just have an… interview later today. And I guess I am just a little bit nervous, it is nothing serious” Mia said, hoping that her sister would be okay with the not so detailed response. “Nothing serious? It is an interview of course it is something serious. I am so sorry that you had to come in here to be with me. Now you will probably smell like disinfectant by the time of your
