I was panting hard as I held my bleeding hand that had lost two fingers from the game we were playing.

“Play your next move.” Rogue said as I glared at her before I stared at the board.

This was the seventeenth time we were playing this game and I was yet to win a single game. I had traded so many parts, each regenerating as the games went on. I couldn’t understand how she was doing it, how she was cheating or bending the rules to her favor unless there was some unknown external influence.

How could I get them in my favor?

It suddenly occurred to me that Eliza was not here. I looked around for her but she was nowhere to be seen before I saw a mirror behind Rogue.
