I quickly stood to make way for him but he walked past me to a seat beside Anisha.

"Sit down, Eva." Father nudged me. "No one owns any position in this house except I say so."

I hesitantly do as he says since Greg doesn't seem to care. I just hope he and Father are on good terms.

"Eat," Father motions to me and I obey and begin to take a bite.

"So tell me, Eva, why is your name echoing in the walls of this palace? What happened this morning?" He asks again.

"I don't know, Father. I just helped a dying boy, that's all."

Anisha scoffed at my words and Father sent a glare her way which actually surprised me. I don't really care about her actions though.

"Just? Hmm," Father hummed, "I see…" he said as he went on to take another nibble from his stake and chewed.
