Lena turned to Tarzan and the excitement that had begun to blossom inside her faltered.

“Babe? Please say something” Lena pleaded softly.

Tarzan met her eyes.

“I’ll get you a cooking show myself,” he said. “If that’s what you want, I’ll arrange one. You don’t have to work for him.”

"Babe,” she began, shaking her head, “you can't keep buying me everything I want.”

His eyebrows drew together.

“Why not? I am your man."

"I know baby, but I want to work for it. I love how much you want to do

I understand Lena’s point about building up Something on her own but she did not handle this correctly and is just running her mouth without thinking. Tarzan has always supported her dreams even in the background without her knowing. Tarzan didn’t deserve this, she needs to make this right with him.

  • FORBIDDEN: HIS PLUS SIZE OBSESSION    ERASED

Tarzan sighed and wrapped his arms around her."Shhh, it's okay. I'm not angry anymore.""I'm sorry. I shouldn't have… I'm sorry… I made stupid decisions today and it kept getting worse." Lena sobbed into his chest."You made a mistake, and it's okay… I'm glad we resolved the issue. Look at me," he whispered.Lena hesitated and glanced up at him. Tarzan held her chin and kissed her forehead."You may not believe this, baby, but I don't remember why I was angry at you.""Try something else," Lena said with a frown.Tarzan laughed."I'm serious. It's like my memories got erased.""Stop!"She hit him playfully on the chest, and Tarzan pulled her into a tight hug, still laughing."My wife is so adorable.""Don't call me that.""Don't call you what?" Tarzan asked innocently."My wife?""No… adorable. There's nothing adorable about me today."She pouted. His smile widened."Would you prefer I call you my cute wife instead?"Lena lifted her head to glare at him, but before she could complain

She looked up at him and gently touched his cheek.“Please smile for me again. I’m sorry.”Tarzan looked at her for a moment before his gaze drifted downward to her hands—more specifically, to the fingers resting against his chest. His expression changed.“Where’s your engagement ring?”Lena froze.Oh, no.Her eyes followed his gaze to her bare finger. That was when she realized, and she quickly pulled away from him.“It’s in my bag. I’ll put it on now.”Tarzan watched in silence as she reached for her handbag. She unzipped it and began searching through it, her fingers moving hurriedly among her belongings. Finally, she found the ring and pulled it out.“There!”Lena smiled nervously as she slipped it onto her finger, then turned to Tarzan.“Happy now?”Tarzan didn’t smile.“Why are you not wearing it before now?”“I had to cook, so I took it off. You know it’s not hygienic to wear jewellery while preparing food.”“Your classes ended two hours ago,” he said flatly.Lena looked down i

  • FORBIDDEN: HIS PLUS SIZE OBSESSION    LISTEN TO ME

A dull ache settled in Lena’s chest. Tarzan glanced away, then looked back at her. “I know how much cooking means to you. I know how hard you’ve worked for it, and I don’t want you to think that being with me means you have to give up any part of yourself. I just don’t trust him. That’s all.” “No…” Lena started, stepping closer. “Baby, I didn’t mean it like that. I misspoke. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said you always oppose my dreams. You never have. You support me in so many ways, and I know that.” Her voice softened. “I just want to do this on my own, okay? I want to know I can accomplish something without relying on your money or your connections. Not because I don’t appreciate everything you do for me, but because I need to prove it to myself.” Tarzan studied her for a long moment before forcing a small smile. “I understand.” But the smile didn’t reach his eyes. Lena wanted to close the distance between them—to hug him, kiss the tension from his face, and reassure him that

I want to learn, to grow, and to build something of my own.” “Then build something of your own,” Tarzan replied flatly. “I'm not stopping you.” “Then why are you opposing this?” "Because the man standing in front of us has just confessed that he's been in love with you for twenty years!” “And I've already told him I don't love him!” “Do you expect me to believe th

“What the hell are you talking about?” Lena snapped angrily at him. “Why don’t you tell him I was your first love in middle school?”Adrian replied. Lena’s eyes widened. Tarzan’s head jerked toward her. “Your first love?” “No!” Lena burst out. “He wasn't my first love! Yes, I had a crush on him, but Mitch was—” She paused abruptly. The look on Tarzan’s face made her stomach drop. Oh God.She’d just made it worse. “Listen to me, please, baby,” she pleaded, stepping closer. “I only had a crush on Adrian because he was the good looking boy in my calss who won the junior cooking competition. It wasn’t just me—half our classmates liked him! I was fascinated by his talent, that was all.” Adrian raised an eyebrow, the corner of his mouth lifting. “Good looking?” Lena ignored him and continued. “But it lasted two weeks. Two weeks. It was a stupid schoolgirl crush.” “It was just a crush for you,” Adrian said quietly. “Mine lasted two decades, Lena.” Lena’s mouth fell open. Tarz

You will never truly understand heartbreak until it comes from the same man who once adored you—who protected you, who loved you without hesitation. “What’s the number?” My husband’s voice came from the doorway. The message I sent to my husband Mitch was left unanswered. Just like the ones I sent days ago… weeks ago. He had stopped replying to my texts.
