Then his lips twitched into a dangerous little smirk. He leaned down until we were almost nose-to-nose. “Actually… I don’t know how I’d react. Let’s find out.” “You must think I’m stupid,” I frowned, ignoring the way my pulse skyrocketed. “I don’t think you’re stupid.” His voice softened. “I just think you’re the kind of woman who likes to prove her point. It won’t hurt. I’ve seen plenty of naked women. It’s really not a big deal.” Of c
Her eye twitched. She smacked my arm. Then again. And again. “You insane, reckless— Is this how you ride? So careless!” I chuckled. “You’re so adorable, Lena. I thought you’d enjoy it.” That only set her off even more. She grabbed my jacket and tried to shake me — like a kitten attacking a brick wall. “Do you think this is a joke? I was screaming my lungs out! I even bit you — and you didn’t even slow down!” I shrugged. “Didn’t hurt.” Her mouth fell open. “Didn’t—?! I bit you with all my strength! Are you even human?!” I leaned in closer, eyes locked on hers, voice low. “I’d be more worried about your teeth, wifey.” “You almost gave me high blood pressure!” People around us were starting to stare. “Nothing to see here,” I said with a chuckle. “Just my girlfriend scolding me.” “Don’t insult me… I am not your girlfriend,” she said strictly, pulling off the helmet and shoving it into my hands. “Goodbye, Tarzan.” She turned and started walking away. The smile o
The image of her welcoming him home from work, smiling up at him, letting him kiss her, touch her body… making love to her. Fuck that. “Tarzan!” Lena yelled, snapping me out of my thoughts. “Hold on tight.” “What—” Before she could finish, I twisted the throttle. “Wait!” she screamed. Her arms flung around my torso as the sudden surge of power slammed us forward. We were flying across the high bridge now. Her heart hammered so hard I could almost feel it against my back. For a moment she was rigid with fear, but then I heard her start chuckling. I glanced at the mirror. “See? Not so bad, wifey!” I yelled back. “Don’t call me that!” she snapped. I felt her arms loosen slowly. She lifted them — just a little at first, then higher — stretching into the rushing air. “Yeah!!!!” she squealed. *Hold on tighter, baby.* I wanted to say it out loud. I wanted to pull over on the side of this empty road, turn around, and kiss her until she forgot that bastard’s name. U
TARZAN’S POV The road opened up into rolling hills bathed in morning light, golden fields stretching out on either side, dotted with wildflowers that swayed like they were dancing in the wind. “Wow…” Lena gasped. I glanced at the side mirror and caught the tilt of her helmet as she turned her head. She was drinking in the countryside, eyes wide behind the visor. “This is… beautiful,” she said, voice full of wonder. “It’s like the city doesn’t even exist. Those flowers… and the way the light hits the hills. God, it’s stunning. So peaceful.” A small smile tugged at my lips beneath my helmet, but I stayed quiet. I slowed the bike just enough, taking the next curve smoother than necessary so she could enjoy it. A flock of birds burst from a nearby tree, scattering across the sky like black confetti against the blue. “Did you see that?” she asked excitedly, letting go of one hand to point. I felt a sudden loss inside me from that act. Without thinking, I reached back, caught her ha

“I know you’d succeed,” I added quickly. “Your aura, the way you carry yourself… everything screams model.” He took a step closer, eyes sparkling with amusement. “It sounds like you find me attractive, Lena.” “No, I don’t,” I lied instantly. “I think she does!” Joey shouted from outside, clearly eavesdropping. “Hey! I do *not*!” I snapped, my face burning. “See? Even my friend believes it,” Tarzan teased. “Well, I don’t.” “Yes, you do.” “You know what? Just take me home, please,” I groaned, marching outside before I embarrassed myself any further. Joey was standing there, still hiding half his face under a mask. He walked over with an easy grin. “Lena, right? Man’s been talking about you nonstop. He’s basically your number one fan at this point. I’m Joey, by the way.” “Nice to meet you, Joey,” I said, trying (and failing) to sound normal. “Here,” Tarzan’s voice came from behind me. I turned just as he gently placed the helmet on my head. He focused hard, brow
