Chapter 32: Jordan

They have just come and informed me of Jon’s condition.  Apparently, they had to remove a little of Jon’s brain tissue, because it had been badly damaged from the pressure building in his brain.  Of course, this all happened because they didn’t relieve the pressure in time. 

The doctor told me that he just doesn’t know yet how it will affect his ability to live his life, if at all.  I am really rooting for him and hope that he has nothing wrong, but I know how these things usually go.  Matter of fact, he probably will be lucky to be able to walk once he is out of here.

Feeling dark thoughts overcome mine, I try to think positively if not for myself, but for Lillian.  Glancing over at her, I notice that she is finally awake.  So, I scoot closer to her and take her hand in mine.  “Baby, are you feeling better now?”
