Chapter Seventy-seven: A suprise for her

The next day, Adira was successfully discharged from the hospital. She emerged through its swinging doors with her parents, looking drained and tired. Her ordeal is not just physical, but she looked like a woman whose soul is troubled. Not that the two adults walking ahead of her noticed, or they did, but are too much of a coward to face it, hoping that the problem would sort itself out.

Adira trailed behind her parents to the car looking like the weight of the whole world is on her slim shoulders.

They get to the car, and her father, Alpha Conor opens the back door for her, he doesn’t look at his daughter’s face, or interact much with her. Maybe scared of what he would see, or the direction the conversation would take.

But the big ole Alpha is determined to handle this problem the coward’s way. Act like the problem is not there and it disappears.

I hope it works for him, and he doesn't regret his actions.
